Rating 70.8

Nestled amidst the beautiful Red Rocks of Sedona, Sedona Golf Resort offers truly unique scenery. The golf course sprawls across elevations ranging from 3,960 feet to as much as 4,260 feet, a landscape that provides elevated tees, raised greens, tricky lies, and difficult approach shots. The dramatic elevations also offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The course winds in and out of the rock formations, giving each hole a unique character and scenery. It is not particularly long at 6,646 yards but the challenging elevated greens and winding doglegs make up for any lack of length. The sixth and the 10th are the signature holes but one of the most challenging holes comes earlier, the second. This hole really takes advantage of the Sedona topography, offering sight of the raised green but little else in front of it.

Good layout

Enjoyable layout with good variety. A little local knowledge is needed. Pace of play was erratic, but guess that understandable at a resort course. Course conditions okay except for greens which were in need some serious attention. Lots of bare spots and often very bumpy.

Dont let the short yardage fool you

Stunning golf course all the way you can see. Pace of play was very slow with mixed group ahead and most of them should of been playing up tees not backs so round was almost 5 hrs. Still the course was very challenging as greens were lightning fast which took some getting used to. Lots of elevated tee boxes which was fun but well worth the time to admire the Red Rocks. Excellent staff in club house..funny to see another Floridian in there! Will come back.

Great views of the red rocks!

The course had several rough patches and the greens were not in very good shape. Greens fees were too high for the condition.

Beautiful Golf

Played here early February, really enjoyed the course, was single so was able to jump into a gap was not busy, and buzzed around quickly. If you okay early February bring a pullover cause back nine in the mountains was a little chilly at times but still beautiful.

Golf Plus

Great layout, fantastic scenery. Your golf score is irrelevant when you take in the views from just about every hole. Saying that, the course offers a challenge to all levels of golfer, with 5 sets of tee boxes and large greens with tricky slopes. Love it.

No bang for the Buck

Fist off let me say it was a nice course and I enjoyed my round of golf. Pace of play was good, views are beautiful. However, the value just not there. Green fees are to high for a course with no GPS on the carts. Greens and fairways could be in better shape, diseased or dry spots throughout. I’ve played much better courses for less money.

Sedona golf

I like the layout a lot. Cool holes with great views. With bent greens they need to keep them watered a lot. I played here a couple years ago as well and both times the greens were incredibly soft with a few bad spots. They still putt ok but could be better.

Great course — needs work

I loved the course layout, elevation changes, and amazing views.

The condition of the greens was terrible. Almost every green had some damage or patching going on. Many of the tee boxes are also in need of repair. Hopefully the maintenance crew can turn this around, because the course is beautiful.

The staff were all very nice.

I was visiting from Florida, and would love to play here again, under better conditions.

A Little Ragged

Beautiful, scenic location, a fun round of golf, but the course is kind of ragged. I thought it was just the end-of-summer dryness, but in reading other reviews it looks like some of the dry spots on the green are probably fungus. The rough is either mowed too high or ignored in places where it shouldn't be, like next to the greens. Played here a number of times over the past 15 years while vacationing and this was the worst I've seen the course, though it's still playable. A great thing: their policy is no dress code, they say golf should be fun. Only course I'm aware of with this policy. It's overpriced, but there are deals out there.
