Rating 70.8

Nestled amidst the beautiful Red Rocks of Sedona, Sedona Golf Resort offers truly unique scenery. The golf course sprawls across elevations ranging from 3,960 feet to as much as 4,260 feet, a landscape that provides elevated tees, raised greens, tricky lies, and difficult approach shots. The dramatic elevations also offer stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The course winds in and out of the rock formations, giving each hole a unique character and scenery. It is not particularly long at 6,646 yards but the challenging elevated greens and winding doglegs make up for any lack of length. The sixth and the 10th are the signature holes but one of the most challenging holes comes earlier, the second. This hole really takes advantage of the Sedona topography, offering sight of the raised green but little else in front of it.

Spectacular !!!

I’m not one to make reviews and I think this is my first.

This is one of the most beautiful courses I have ever played. Sedona is a magical place to begin with, and the course certainly has the views.

I could go on about the golfability and conditions … is golfability even a word? But I won’t. So I guess I’m a bad reviewer.

Play this course, if only for the views, it was an afternoon well spent.

I will be back.

Disappointed

This a course that has been tricked up and very unforgiving from the if you go into the tall rough or OB. They have done work around all the greens with 2 courses of sod so putting from the fringe sucks. Also the greens have a lot of dead areas. Not worth the money.

Poor conditions

When I checked in this morning I was greeted with a change in rate from $150 as booked to now $95 with a $15 pro shop / restaurant credit. At first I was excited but after about 3 holes I understood why - the course was in a struggling condition. Greens were recently aerated (always understand this), but the rest of the greens facilities were disastrous, a lot of missing grass and trenches dug in from greens keeping equipment. The course was overly saturated as well requiring 90 degree crossing only and the use of fall cleaning rules as balls were easily plugged in the fairway and greens side rough. Overall the views were incredible and staff was more than friendly, but the course itself did not justify even the $80 net greens fee in my opinion.

Fantastic

First time here. I play a lot of golf around the world and I'm not a pro golfer, amateur at best in my opinion. This coarse is absolutely amazing. Not an over all difficult play but the views are amazing. If you only play the coarse for the view you have lived well. Staff and facilities all outstanding. I was told I was here during a slower part of their season. I have zero complaints and will play here again someday. Great job to the staff!!

Sedona golf Resort

I love this course but when I played this course on 8/21/21 the grass seems to have a fungus and is in terrible condition around the tee boxes and greens. Needs to be fixed to get great reviews.

Not Worth The Effort

Course conditions are awful. Not the fault of the staff but apparently a fungus has invaded the grass,. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are all affected. There are so many dirt/rock patches it is ridiculous. The fungus grass is blue, thick, spongy, and terrible to walk or get footing on. All that aside, overbooking and charging almost $100 a player was unacceptable. Over 3 hours to play 10 holes is not a fun day and not worth the effort. Check other courses as rumor has it the fungus is spreading.

Disappointed.....Bad Shape

The views are amazing but wow I don't know if this course is having financial issues but the course leaves you thinking they are. Again, the views are fabulous but the course layout is below average and the condition is that of a cheap muni. I paid $60 and feel like I should have maybe paid $30. Fairways are bad with spotty grass......the areas and collars around the greens are just awful. I was shocked at the shape of this course and will not go back.

Beautiful course

Sedona Golf Resort is an above average challenge from the Blue Tees. It was in pretty decent shape after three or four days of thunderstorms and rain. Always great views. Lots of different and challenging holes. Can't wait to play it again.
