About
The Canada Course plays through forests of mesquite trees, offering a parkland atmosphere amongst a desert landscape. The natural terrain snakes through ravines and arroyos, providing several natural hazards. Considerable mounding, doglegs and elevation changes provide a varied layout, making club selection an important factor in addition to careful strategy. Golfers should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The course’s signature hole is the eighth hole, considered one of the toughest par 3s in Tucson. The hole requires players to drive the ball uphill along a narrow ridge between two Saguaro cacti, and canyons border the greens on both sides.

Windy But Nice Course
Wind made scoring difficult as it is a tight course with lots of elevation and fairway angles but other than that a nice course.
Good course, play it
Still early in the season and I’m sure conditions will improve, but it was still a very interesting round. Moderately challenging but fair. Houses around the course do not intimidate shots.

For anyone coming to Oro Valley, this course is a must play!
Nice facility
El Conquistador has 2 courses and they are both in very good condition. Pace of play is generally very good. The courses are not overly challenging, so they are enjoyable to play and don't wear you down. Layout has enough variety to be interesting and both courses have some spectacular mountain views. Nice to have practice facility included in green fees so you can warm up before your round.
Course was in good shape with the exception being the sand traps. Too many rocks
Best Value
Course was in incredible condition, even after it had been raining all day. Fairways and greens were very well manicured, with the rough being lush as well, which is a tough find on most public Tucson courses. Was able to snag a tee time at 3pm for $30, which proved to be by far the best valued round I've played all year.

Nice course good condition. A bit tricky getting from some greens to next tee boxes.
Very playable
Overseeded fairways and greens were very good and well tended. “Rough” was dormant Bermuda, and was a bit sparse, causing balls not in the fairways often stuck under a bush OB. Excellent staff,. Drinking water on the course, a real plus. When will ball washers return?
