El Conquistador Golf & Tennis - Conquistador Course

Staff in the pro shop and the starter were excellent. Range balls available for free. Course in great condition and rewards good shots. There are many raised greens so take the extra half club.

The course was a little dry in some places, so not Plush, but a very nice course. I could see this course being very plush in season. The greens had recently been punched, so there was still some issues with the smoothness of the greens, but still very playable. Many different tee boxes to choose from. The course is not very long but the layout is chanllanging. One thing to note: It would be an extremely difficult course to walk. Some distance between holes is longer then the holes. It would also be very difficult to play without local knowledge. Just getting from one hole to the next is not easy. There is no GPS on the carts, so navigating the course would be benificial if you had some knowledgeable assistance.

Overall - very pleased.

Club house is under renovation. Course is in pretty good shape. Greens are dry and fast.

Challenging course. Somewhat narrow fairways with many doglegs. Resist the urge to always pull out the driver. Very undulating greens that are often elevated so if you don’t stick the green it is running off the side. The greens were a little firm today which exaggerated this. It seems like they started a lot of people close together because we had several trying to pass us up early which was a little distracting. The course has a lot of character and is in pretty good shape. Beautiful views and lots of elevation change. This course flows with the land which made it fun, but also difficult. Pet peaves are that you had to hit off mats at the range which leaves that plastic welded to the bottom of your club, and all the buckets for towel water were empty. Range balls are provided however, which adds value. This course presents a very good challenge which I was not ready for today.

Course layout is a bit awkward, driving on streets in neighborhood. Condition of the course was pretty good, but greens were slow. Pace was a bit slow but we did play in 4 hours.

Beautiful course that needs improvement.

Remember to ask for the key code to access the bathrooms on the course. They did not provide or state they were locked.

Be on alert as homeowners and apartment renters are on the course as if it's a park. Well teeing off there was a man walking his labordoodle on the fairway, many other dogs on the golf path. A father with a child in a stroller. Random people on the course including a person caring groceries to people casually walking on the golf cart path as if its a trail. This is complete nonsense, dangerous, and a liability. Smple common sense to golf course maintenance and etiquette. I never seen this of all my years of golfing. I had to skip a par 4 as a father was walking his daughter on the fairway.

The staff started I overpaid on Golf Now. Claiming they can offer a better rate. We did call and it was more. People walking on where paying $330. We overpaid, didn't get to finish the course due to people on the course.

The fairway grass is well maintained. The sand to chipping and putting needs more care.

I hope if I play this beautiful course again. It has a better outcome.

The course was in great condition and the carts were a pleasure to drive: responsive, quiet and nicely equipped. It’s not my husband‘s favorite course because the fairways are kind of narrow, So it’s easy to lose some balls. He lost a couple and I lost one brand new one, but I also found at least three ha ha!

As for level of play I would consider myself an advanced beginner: I can get to the green in two or three strokes, but then it usually takes me at least that many to get her done!

Sun shone, birds sang and palm trees were blowing in the wind. Wish I wouldn’t have 3 putted so many times but nothing could ruin the beautiful day on a beautiful course with good people.

Perfect weather. Beautiful course with breathtaking views with difficulty that at times made me cry. A real challenge and a lot of fun. Very friendly staff. Thank you.
