El Conquistador Golf & Tennis - Conquistador Course

The only issue this time was the greens were spotty.

You better bring your "A" game when you play this course.

This course is all about ball placement. Learning the course will definitely work to your advantage. Rolling sloped (all directions) fairways, very fast greens and a flat out good test of your golfing ability. Drove up from Green Valley & will definitely make the drive again & again. Good fun tough golf course & I haven't even mentioned the mountain views. WOW

The course was in great condition especially for this time of the year. Course layout not easy but not hard your course management skills had to come into play but it was a beautiful fun course. Enjoyed playing it for the first time!!

First time playing the course. Very good course. The biggest thing I noticed is for the longer hitters the blue tees aren’t far at all just 6200 yds. Next time I will look at the scorecard duh! Good to tee it forward every now and again plus I did leave my girdle at home so aint no thing but a chicken wing. Course is in excellent condition and a was amazed with the greens! Greens were perfect speed. I was running late and the starter even told the group to wait for me to get to the tee. Staff was super friendly. seemed like the grass was a little less closely mown around the greens which is great so we are not chipping off of tight lies trying not to blade across the green all day. I really cannot say anything bad about the course but if I really think about it I probably can. I was not happy about the par 5 number 16 the with that huge rise guarding the green-more like a blockcade rather than a false front for would be eagle putts. Also my ball did hit a 1 patchy area on the greens and one cup was also so crowned it prevented my ball from entering. Those balls were going in and according to the scorecard they did.

This was the second time my wife and I played this course. This time, it was just the two of us. We enjoyed the round. Golf was a little bit easier as we had played here before, but we didn’t have a person to counsel us where to land the ball in the fairway and where not. We played in less than four hours. In all, a slightly challenging course, but fair.

Played here for the first time. My wife and we’re paired with two gentlemen and we enjoyed the outing. Golf was relatively easy and I scored one under my net. Views of the Catalina mountains was a nice feature. All in all, highly recommended for a 17 handicap golfer.

Enjoy playing both 18 Hole Courses, El Conquistador and Canada. Challenging hole design but very fun. Only critique is that the greens vary greatly depending on the time of year. More concerted effort on the greens would make the course a 5 star course. Recommend playing here!

Fun course in the heart of Oro Valley. Will definitely play again!

Greens are fast and smooth. Ball will really get away from you on the greens if not careful.

Rye coming in nicely. Bunkers somewhat wet but have sand and depth. Beautiful views, great course and day out.

Good value if you get deal or play dater in the day....both el con courses play well.
