The Views Golf Club at Oro Valley
About
The Views Golf Club at Oro Valley in Tucson is so named for its stunning vistas provided by the nearby Catalina Mountains. The desert-inspired layout features a rolling terrain that blends in seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Trees dot the golf course and there is also an abundance of native cacti throughout. Designed by Greg Nash, the layout features large, rolling greens that are subtly elevated. The front nine meanders through dry washes and arroyos while the back nine snakes upwards to higher grounds. The back nine is more challenging than the front with more elevated tee shots and sharp doglegs. There is a small lake that comes into play and several strategically placed bunkers throughout. The Views Golf Club at Oro Valley also features a driving range and short-game practice area.

Good day at a great course!
Have to hit good shots into elevated greens. A challenging course and layout.
bad condition
The course is really hard, you can not see the greens from any of the tees, if you do not know the course it is hard to tell which way the fairway goes. some hole were very nice. fairways burnt and terrible. tees are flate, and the green were slow. typical retirement course. will not play here again. no service at bag drop, proshop attendants were super friendly and helpful. Ranger was also very friendly.
This course is awesome from walking into the pro shop to the first tee all around fun golf experience.
The Views name says it all. This course is one of my favorites in the Tucson area you really find that you have to place your shots in the right spot to shoot good here. Missing the greens around this course will test your short game for sure. The pace of play is really one of my favorite things about this course you move right along and nothing better than that. Finally the golf staff is total first class they are super nice and always make you feel very welcome. I will for sure come back and tee it up again.
Course in good shape
Was pretty good shape considering it was recently aerated
attention
Even though the course did not seem to play overly long it
will make you pay attention to were you place your shot. You also
need to not get caught up in looking at the beauty of the Catalina
Mts. I enjoyed the course and will be back.
Fantastic course!
Always enjoy this course. Course was in great shape although the greens had been punched about 10 days ago they still rolled great. Fairways where green and the traps actually had sand in them which you don't find that in most of the area courses around here. Well worth the hour drive to play. One of my favorite courses in Tucson.
Good, Not Great.
Fairways are dead in several places, It is still in pretty good shape. Greens are in good shape.
well maintained , fun course
Friendly employees that make you feel at home..... and the course is very well maintained and difficult enough to be fun. Play isn't too slow but need more rangers to keep people going .
Beautiful course with outstanding views!
The staff were super friendly and great upon checking in. They pointed out several features on the course as it has several blind shots. It was a windy day and the greens were recently aerated which made putting a challenge but I will definitely come back to play.
Well maintained course with interesting layout, great scenic views of the Catalina's.
The greens were just aerated on Monday May 6th, so it will take a few weeks to recover. The greens vary in size, difficulty, tiers and slope which adds to their interest nicely. Fairways are reasonably lush for this time of year. The layout is interesting with good use of the terrain (some very nice elevation changes, some elevated tees and greens). Although fun for all levels, a beginner might find it somewhat challenging.
I scheduled on a day in which they go off in two shotguns (am and pm) which worked well other than the Pro Shop was a little crowded to check in. The process was relatively quick and painless though. All in all, a nice outing and a good course for the cost.
Great views on almost every hole.
Enjoyed the course very much. Interesting and challenging holes with great views. One minor problem was the greens, which had recently been aerated, so putting was difficult. But a great value.
they treat you nice, appreciate your business and the course is one of the best maintained courses in Tucson...
fast bcoming one of my favorite courses in Southern AZ
Great views. Definitely worth the money.
Quite a few blind shots add to the course difficulty off the tee. Greens were quick but putted true. Traps had sand that was sand rather than baked clay. Extremely windy conditions (sometimes more than two clubs) created a very challenging day-but overall this course is one of my favorite Tucson area courses.
this course was in great condition,,greens, tees and fairways!
1st time in 12 months I've played there and it was in great condition. The staff friendly and arranged for my cart partner to pick me up outside. The course was challenging , but enjoyable. I was grouped with 3 previously unknown players and we got along fine. Only BAD THING WAS MY CAR WAS SCRATCHED ALONG REAR FENDER AND NO NOTE WAS LEFT. DAMAGE ESTIKMATED AT $300+,
Nice course but...
I did not appreciate for one minute that they made me share a cart with a person I did not know, I paid my green fee which included a cart not a shared cart. That was a first for me and if I ever go back I will make sure that I book a twosome. Customer service in pro shop could be better.
Course lives up to its name with beautiful panoramas.
Play only slowed a couple of times on the back nine. Course offers enough variety and challenge for the mid handicap golfer.
This course has improved so much in the last 3 years.
This course has improved so much in the last 3 years. Bunkers are true bunkers, a great improvement. A desert course with some difficult carries. Fairways are almost bare in some areas. All in all, one of our favorite everyday courses.
Beautiful views of the mountains!
Good Course
Played behind Club's Men Group and still finished in under 4 hrs. Well maintained. Fun Course. Friendly staff and members
The views are terriffic. The course is challenging for a 20 handicap.
We had a 2:00 tee time which was fine and we finished. However, at 5:00 residents are allowed on the course and it was VERY distracting and annoying!
I couldn't move the blue boxes to points between average and great which is where I wnted them. The course was hard for me because of the various hills and valleys but we enjoyed our day except for the traffic on the course at 5:00.
This course is really difficult.
I could recommend this course with a few disclaimers. As a couple average golfers (my wife and I), we found the course too difficult to enjoy. On most of the holes, the roughs were contoured in a way that even slightly off line shots could end up in the desert and not playable. On several holes, the green had a steep slopes and a shot that landed on the green, could easily roll off, resulting in an extemely difficult "up and down". The course itself was in very good shape and we we're greeted by the staff in a very professional manner. If you play "The Views", you could be in for a long day.
Sharing a cart is common on public golf courses. Wow! playing golf with a stranger... must have been terrifying!!!
