The Views Golf Club at Oro Valley
About
The Views Golf Club at Oro Valley in Tucson is so named for its stunning vistas provided by the nearby Catalina Mountains. The desert-inspired layout features a rolling terrain that blends in seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Trees dot the golf course and there is also an abundance of native cacti throughout. Designed by Greg Nash, the layout features large, rolling greens that are subtly elevated. The front nine meanders through dry washes and arroyos while the back nine snakes upwards to higher grounds. The back nine is more challenging than the front with more elevated tee shots and sharp doglegs. There is a small lake that comes into play and several strategically placed bunkers throughout. The Views Golf Club at Oro Valley also features a driving range and short-game practice area.

Generally satisfying experience, truly has great views
I always enjoy this course although not one of the best in Tucson. The bunkers seem to get an excessive amount of animal traffic so your ball is often in a foot print.
The views of the Catalina mountains in the Tucson are outstanding. The course was well maintained, well designed, and the staff was courteous.
The Views golf course is aptly named, providing outstanding views of the Catalina mountains in the Tucson area from every hole. The course is well-maintained with many challenging golf holes. The staff was courteous and friendly.
A Tucson Gem With Stunning Views
This course lives up to its' name - The Views! My husband and I started playing this course 4 years ago and despite this area of AZ having a multitude of nice courses to choose from, more often than not we will choose to play here. The greens are meticulously maintained and smooth as glass. Challenging too - what with the size of each and varying levels and slopes of many of the 18. Greens are guarded by well-placed (challenging) bunkers. The course is obviously well-cared for by staff and there has never been a time when we have received anything less than a fantastic golf experience, from beginning to end. If you've never golfed here, you are missing out on one of Tucson's little-known gems!
Great viws
Even though we were not permitted to use the driving range to warm up on a cold, wet morning (machine to pick up range balls was not in service), the course was nice, challenging and staff were very friendly.
Fun Layout !!
The Views was a real fun layout with great greens and excellent bunkers. Not extremely long but somewhat tight on certain holes, you can't go wrong with this layout !!
good design and good condition
tees and fairways nicely maintained (some holes not overseeded)
greens smooth and moderate speed.
golf now rate excellent
pro shop staff nice
general amenities good
Like the name says - great views.
Played in the 11:30 shotguns. Fairly crowded, but good pace of play (4 Hours). Had to wait on a spot at the driving range.
Course was in good shape and a challenge with the many grass pot bunkers and collection areas.
Payed $41 via golfnow prepay - very good value.
add this course to your list
staff was friendly and courteous. Course was in better than avrage condition. Greens putted smoothly and fairly fast. I will play the course again. Entire experience was better than average
Good course avg. shape.
While challenging, not overly friendly or welcoming. Seemed more concerned with pushing you out than welcoming you in. Cost for value avg. Better than some but not on the same level as other resort courses we played for the same $ amount or less. Service was non-existent except for the ranger that chased us around the course even though we were not holding anyone up. Said they were full but did not appear that way.
Fun course, great views of Santa Catalinas
A fair course to play. can get a good score if you know where to place the ball. Good condition.
Great condition; close to where we stay.
Course is in excellent condition; very challenging for a retirement community course. Pro Shop personnel not friendly.
Good layout, great condition, plays to its' rating
The only issue, is that it is very popular so the rounds are slow. Playing as a twosome is not a good idea if ypou want to keep a rhythm going.
This is a long course, well kept, but not very challenging.
The fairways are wide, many greens can not be viewed from the T box, multiple T boxes nicely placed for all levels of play. Course is well kept, but the views are not much and the variety and challenge is just not enough to keep me coming back. Many better courses in this price point.
Fun course! The greens were in perfect shape and the fairways were nice - maybe just a little shaggy. The rough is coming in but not super yet.
This was my first time playing The Views and I'll definitely go back. I play several Tucson courses on golfnow.com and this will now be in my regular lineup.
Good views all around!
Well maintained and overseed was done well. Nice undulating greens. Once we got out from behind the 9 hole group we moved right along.
Giesey
The course was in great shape and the views are some of the best in Tucson. We felt welcomed there.
Excellent setting and course condition.
outstanding course, setting and mtn views. Very slow play in some part due to cart paths only as a result of overseeding.
Fast, views and forgiving
The course was in great shape and has wide enough fairways to be a little forgiving. The scenery is fatalistic, this is not a desert course. I would recommend the Views to anyone.
Disappointed by Omission
I called ahead to find out about course condition. That was told to me but I was not told it was cart path only until we'd gotten there and paid our fees. Since I am partially disabled, I was not able to complete but about 10 holes, ruining my outing. I am very disappointed.
Beautiful well maintained country club type course.Great track!
Good variety of holes hit nearly every club in my bag.Pristeen conditions fairways were perfect greens very smooth. One of the more challenging tracks around , hard to believe this was/is a retirement community course it used to be called Sun City Vistosa.IMHO one of the top 10 courses in Tucson.
