Nice course
I like this course although it is a good distance away if you are staying at the beach. The greens were in pretty good condition, which is most important to me. They were a little tricky to read and slow one way and fast another. The staff was very friendly. We did arrive and begin our round among a scramble that was finishing up, but it only affected our play for a hole or two. I will likely return.
Nice!
Playing here off and on since 1976! Lovely course, greens are best ever right now. A decent challenge. Super friendly staff and great value. Give it a go!
Great Track for the $$$
I was able to get this for $20 on GolfNow because it was the middle of the day tee time in the heat. Even with a 105 heat index, I really enjoyed my round and absolutely worth it, great deal. Pro shop was great and super friendly. Absolutely will be coming back soon. I can’t wait to play this course in the fall on a cool breezy 68 degree day.
Good for the money
This course improves better every time I play there. Grade B+ maybe A-
Great Throwback
First played here summer of 1976 as a teen. Knew the owners kids. Plays long, Condition ups and downs through the years. Some challenging holes. Well kept for the money. Beautiful scenery of rural Holmes County.
Out of the way for sure.
This is not a course for those who like the niceties. The fairways were groomed nicely. The greens were soft and groomed as well. Don’t miss the fairway on the front 9 or your ball is all but lost. The back nine was a little more open and playable In the first cut.
It is definitely an out of the way community course. With the money but it is a drive coming from PCB.
Worth the drive
This is a nice track. The course was a little rough, needed to be mowed in the rough. But if you stayed on the fairway it was nice. There were a few greens that were in bad shape and one temporary on #9, but overall, the greens were pretty good We live in PCB, so just over an hour drive. The staff are super nice folks and the food was good. We will play here again.
Can’t beat it!
I give it a 5 all the way around. They’re working on relocating a green and a few other things so there was a couple of holes that were not great. But the layout of the course is great, the landscape scenery is beautiful, the staff was the friendliest I’ve ever met anywhere. And for the money, anyone who complains about this course, just can’t be made happy anyway. Several very challenging holes, uneven greens, great course.
Boondocks
Definitely out in the boonies, but I enjoyed scenery. Course definitely needs work but has a lot of potential.
A Hidden Gem
I had not played this course before. While it was an hour or so from our location in Panama City Beach, it was by far as good a course as we have played within this distance. The greens were in pretty fair shape and putted very true. The staff was one of the friendliest we have encountered on this stay. My wife and I both said we would like to play this course again soon.
Improvements needed
The course has gone downhill under the new ownership in some areas but they are working to clean up the underbrush and the rough areas Most of the greens are in terrible shape. They need to be aerated and seeded as soon as is possible. Fairways also should be over - seeded and fertilized as soon as possible .
If the new owners wish to draw golfers from Panama City Beach and surrounding areas ,they need to upgrade the course before raising the rate by ten dollars a round.
We have played many rounds of golf at Dogwood Lakes over the past 16 years Unless we see a better value for our dollars we are not likely to return.
Great value
My wife and I played on a beautiful day! 25.00 for a round and great value... pretty wide open and great hosts! It’s early spring so some areas a bit dormant. Greens were a bit bumpy, but it was fun!
A fun challenge
This course has a good amount of elevation changes and water hazards. Everytime I play is a new challenge. Love It!!!!
Lots of rain but still fun.
Considering they had between 8-10 inches of rain the course was very playable and fun. Can't beat the price (our foursome was $100.00 total for 18 holes with cart). Not the nicest course but well worth checking out.
this course is not worth the drive.
what they advertise has a breathtaking course is false.
fairways and greens in poor shape
women tee off is a joke just plain terrible.
the only good thing is that we payed 8 $ each to play not worth more then that.
club house close after our round 3pm ????
