The 18-hole Celebration Golf Club in Celebration, FL is a public golf course that opened in 1996. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and Robert Trent Jones, Sr., Celebration Golf Club measures 6757 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 141 and a 73.1 USGA rating. The course features 6 sets of tees for different skill levels. The greens are bermuda grass.

Father and son team of Robert Trent Jones, Sr. and Jr. created a golfing experience that is second to none at Celebration Golf Club. As a result, Celebration is a championship venue with the park-like feel of a modern, Florida course.

They were also successful in creating separate personalities between the nines. On the front, many holes border wide boulevards lined on the other side by pre- 1940 replicate homes from America's southern region and that of Bermuda, the Bahamas and the Caribbean. But with the back, the homes fade into the brush letting Mother Nature take center stage. Designed with shot-making strategy in mind, this championship caliber course demands accurate approach shots and consistent putting.

Outstanding layout. Used every club in the bag. Green complexes are tough but fair. Course actually plays longer than the yardage. When in doubt of which tee to play you should select the shorter one.

The free lunch with the round is great. Nice selection to choose from.

Walkable course that you can’t walk

Played yesterday, the course was in great winter shape, it’s over seeded so really nice and green. I played in the afternoon on a weekday, and it was $140. That’s really steep but it’s comparable to other courses in the area.

People in the proshop were nice but I was amused when I asked to walk the course and the answer was no. Nobody on the front 9, but I was told I could not walk due to safety reasons. Apparently walking is way more dangerous than driving a cart. Maybe it’s a mental health thing but that has to be the worse excuse I’ve heard.

All good I guess, but very odd policy .

Celebrating Celebration

Great value for price paid. Due to winter conditions, tee boxes pretty beat up. Other golfers do a terrible job of repairing their divots and ball marks on greens. Very disappointed - but no fault of course. Challenging holes make for a fair test of golf. I’ll be back!

Great location of the highway

First time playing this course, but certainly not the last. A little bit more than some of the other public courses, but this would offers beautiful greens with attention detail on the maintenance. Fun challenging for all skill levels.

Were the conditions poor (relative to the price)? Lots of reviews seem to indicate that in mid/late December, hard to tell if it needed time or just a lack of effort and care by the course. I will be in the area in mid january would you recommend looking elsewhere (again given the price) thanks.
