Celebration Golf Club

I have played Celebration many times, and this round was very disappointing. Nobody mentioned that the greens were aerated, and the fairways were mostly sand with little grass. I rented clubs at full price but only received 11 clubs. There are many courses in the Orlando area at the same price or less and better quality.

I’ve played Celebration many times; but unfortunately this is the first time I was very disappointed in the course. Great layout and the staff were very friendly (with the exception of the impatient cart girl).

The greens were aerated and we were not informed . We have a group of thirty guys who flew down from NY and we booked this months ago. We should have be giving the courtesy to choose another course if they decided they were gonna aerate the course. Most of the fairways were dirt and muddy. I know there was recent storms but we played other courses that were in much better condition for a lot cheaper.

I was disappointed to see the overall condition of the course. The tee boxes and fairways were in terrible shape. Could have been due to hurricane damage. They must have punched the greens recently. They were bumpy and sandy. Never could get a good roll. There are too many other nicer courses in the area which offer a better value for your money.

I was excited to play Celebration after hearing about layout from friends who had played there previously. The staff were super friendly and helpful, but unfortunately, the course itself was a letdown. After paying and warming up, we were told by the starter that the back nine fairways were being scarified and weren’t in great shape. There was no mention of this on the website or when we checked in.

I figured it wouldn’t be too bad and teed off, but then I got to the first green and saw it had been punched too. I understand courses need maintenance, but this should’ve been communicated beforehand on the website. Courses I’ve played that are in this condition usually have a discounted rate but that was not the case here. For the price, I expected much better conditions or some kind of discount to reflect the state of the course.

The staff was great, but if you’re planning to play here, make sure to call ahead and check the conditions before you go. Really disappointing.

The course is very nice but the greens were in terrible shape. All of the greens still had holes from aeration and no sand to smooth them out. You could not put without a hole knowing your put offline. This may have been due to Milton a few weeks ago, but should have been noted by the course.

Friendly staff and amenities.

Played several times before. Today the pace of play was fine but the greens had been randomly spiked with very little sand put on. They were shocking!

We played as a threeball on a Saturday morning. Disappointed to find the greens had been punched despite full priced green fee. Would have probably booked another course if we knew this in advance.

Was not informed of this until we asked starter after noticing the practice greens were punched.

Pace of play was also poor despite on-course rangers.

What happened to notification when the greens were punched? Not fun to be surprised by punched greens that roll just like PLINKO when paying $75 for an afternoon round

Have played this 4 times previously & always found the staff excellent but not this experience. Got charged a extra $22 to ride in a buggy on my own as there was a possibility I wouldn’t get 18 holes , as I was supposed to be playing with another 3 guys told off manager had to share or pay extra which after numerous times I’ve played never been the case. As it turned out the 3 guys teed off a hour before there tee time leaving myself as a single player so still needed a buggy on my own. The manager’s attitude was extremely poor for such a golf club as celebration.

Very good layout but course conditions by far the worst I’ve experienced in my previous visits. Some tee boxes like a beach just sand , fairways good, greens average.

Would recommend for the layout . Not so for golf management attitude.

Very good course layout. Great Condition from tee to green. Will definitely be back when visit area again.

Course was in great condition, though tee boxes could've been better but not a deal breaker. We did have a two-some who passed us on the turn and did not even wait for us, even though there were many groups in front of us and then eventually we told a course marshall what happened but they did not do anything.
