About
Mike Dasher's Highlands Reserve (opened 1998) is suggestive and irresistible. The course sits on the edge of a long sand shelf called the Green Swamp Ridge near the town of Davenport, spanning 120 feet from top to bottom. Dasher's holes fairly dance around it, two-stepping from a high point at the first green all the way to the low basin of the 13th fairway.
You will find pine tree-lined fairways reminiscent of the Carolinas, open spacious fairways likened to the great Scottish courses, and a bit of old Florida with citrus trees along the countryside.

Pace of play was slow, then some the areas around the greens need work.
Great course.
Great golf course with excellent greens. Fairways in good condition, this is a fun golf course to play with a good layout.
Always nice!
Unlike most central Fla courses this is an actual golf course. It is not a path of links running through condos and subdivisions. It is well taken care of and in excellent shape. Not a lot of hazards so you can grip it and rip it. My only knock, I finished my round before 4pm and the bar was closed down couldn’t even get in to drink a cold beer after a hot round. At $40 all day it’s a heck of a value too!
Excellent course
The course is in great condition. New greens are in good condition. Best I’ve seen this course . Good value for the price. Other courses around the area charging more are not in as good condition. Well worth it
Prices
Course is overpriced for condition and layout. Nice course but overpriced. Maybe because they affiliated themselves with Golf Now and it's causing them to have to charge more?
Great Condition
Have been playing this course for 7 years, it is in the best shape ever
Getting better
This course has vastly improved over the last few years. The greens are in good condition if a little hard (good news there are no ball marks). They are adding sod all round the course getting rid of sandy scrubby areas, reducing the size of many bunkers and improving the rough around greens. This course is playable after rain! Never seen CPO on this course!

Highland Reserve
Great track. No water in play, but course still has its challenges. New greens. Easily accessible from theme parks on 192. 27 and I4. One of my go to courses.
Highlands Reserve has stepped up
What a huge improvement from a couple of years ago. New greens a beautiful. They roll a bit slow but they are plush and perfect. I haven't seen them this good in many years. Fairways are in great shape and the rough, although not perfect, is markedly better. I would definitely rate the course 4.5-5 stars. Great experience.
Plush course
Tee boxes , fairways and greens all in great condition. Greens can be a little slow , very plush. Very playable with no hidden obstacles. A little hilly for Florida and very hot . Played a 4;15 hour round . Will return whenever in the area.

In great shape
Greens are slow but in outstanding condition. Fairways, tees and traps in great condition.
Only complaint is weather is hot, hot, hot.
Incomplete
Only finished 10 holes then left due to torrential rains. Course in excellent condition from tee boxes thru greens. Will definitely be back.
Better and better!
Every time I play this course, it just keeps getting better. You cannot beat this course for the price, and the conditions are excellent. There is still some work being done here and there, mostly to areas that don't affect play. Keep up the great work!

The Greens are simply the Nicest in Polk,Lake and Orange county PERIOD. I didn't say the fastest, but completely grown in and full,plush like ,its like putting on a carpet. With that being said, if you like this review and decide to play the course. PLEASE, PLEASE fix your divots on the GREENS and fill the holes you create when hitting of the fairway and HELP the CREW keep this course in its PRESENT CONDITION. Thanks.
Highland Reserve
Great track. Located on 27. Easily accessible off of 192 and I4. Worth the trip. On of my go to courses.
