Highlands Reserve Golf Club

The course itself was in good condition the greens have great coverage of grass and look and putt well (a little slower than I prefer). My big gripe is that we had a three ball that had no course etiquette and held everyone up despite the course not being busy. We had to wait on every hole. There was no one for many holes in front of them so it would have been easy to let us and the other people around us through. It spoilt the round for us.

So my main point for recommending the course is the elevation changes. After being in FL for 11yrs and having nothing but one flat course after another, highlands was refreshing. The layout is decent and there are a few holes that run parallel to one another, so beware of stray balls, especially on holes 4 and 5. The other weird feature of the course, is that there is no water, not one retention pond.

The greens were a little slow, but most were in great shape.

I'm looking forward to playing the course again, I hadn't played there in about 5yrs. I played on a Sunday and maybe due to the brief downpour we encountered, the pace of play was great.

I played with a father and son from England, which was a ton of fun and experience.

We were pleasantly surprised how nice the conditions were. Yes there were some areas that were being treated and repaired on the tee boxes , fairways and some around the edges of the greens . Some of the rough are growing back . Bunkers had a good amount of sand in them (I didn’t hit any) . The greens were nice and rolling well . A little slow for me but were in great condition . The starter was really nice and funny. The pro shop staff were friendly as well. Would definitely come back !

I explained that it was mistakenly booked at the time I can't arrive there, just 30 minutes before the tee-off time. But they charged me No show charge more expensive than golf fee. I visited the golf club next day, the condition was so bad. It was so unpleasant experience.

the course is in great shape after the renovation work from last year. The greens are new and take some getting used to. Other than that, I like the course. I made my first hole in one during this round on the par 3 13th hole!!

I have played this course a few times over the last several years and until recently I would say it was in decline. However, this time I could clearly see the work going in to address this and it is paying dividends. The greens are the most notable improvement and had full coverage and ran well. The definition of the course had improved too and I could see work being done to improve the bunkers. A big well done to the green staff for turning it around.

Course is a great value for the price. Fairways and greens were in good shape with greens a little on the slower side . Overall, the experience was enjoyable. The only negative was the threesome that wouldn’t let me play through as a single coupled with a storm delay. Will definitely play again when I’m in the area.

Played here a few years ago while on vacation and swore I would never go back, the course was a mess.

Played this trip because it was the only place I could get an early tee time. I was shocked to see the course spent some money and the course was in great shape. Greens were redone and fairways were great , total 100% improvement! I went back and played a second round. Hats off to the owners for investing some $ and really doing a great job!

Love it! It was my first time playing the course and had a blast.

Course was an excellent find on Golfnow. The greens were newer and played great. The links style course made it enjoyable, we golfed early in the morning so we had a great pace and weren't rushed either. Staff was pleasurable and expressed their appreciation that we played their course. There are no water hazards but plenty of sand to be had....i know I found them all. We will most certainly be back to play this course when in the area again.

Loved the elevation changes. Fairways were clear and greens fantastic!

Course continues to get better and better. Very healthy greens that could use a tighter mow to roll quicker. Easy course with no water in play. Great staff.

The course and staff were awesome,,,some of the best greens I’ve played.
