Penderbrook Golf Club

There was a two-hour frost delay so the backup was obvious therefore the management should proactively speed up the pace to prevent further delay. At the 8th hole, the previous group was not moving for a very long time so I called clubhouse to get help with the slow pace problem. The guy at clubhouse said there is nothing they can do. I saw the two ladies hit the balls into pond and they hit three or four balls at the drop zone! It’s unbelievable. They should learn to pick up the balls after too many bad shots and be considerate, especially in a crowded afternoon play.

Penderbrook is a $50-60 course max! Coupled with the very slow pace of slow it’s difficult to find a rhythm in the round. Additionally, I recommend placing fairway barber poles on 11, 12, 17, and 18 so golfers no where the 250 or 150 marks are located. This could increase the pace of play as golfers would choose the rate club selection.

Course layout is good and conditions were pretty good. Greens rolled great. Pace of play is pretty slow, but they seem to do what they can to keep things moving.

Good round for the price.

This course has made major improvements and the green are super quick. When I say quick.....almost unplayable quick running at least on my machine made meter reader.

I play the course fairly often. You can see that the staff is constantly working to make everything (course, facilities, amenities) better. Some of the pin placements are tricky. e.g. 4th and 8th holes. Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. Mulligan's food is exceptional. Try the Sunday buffet!

Beautiful public course, one of the best in Northern Virginia. Be ready for challenging shots over water.

Course in overall great condition for time of year. Carts were path only which is probably helping the cause.

Pace of play hit a wall in the Back 9. 16-17-18 took over an hour.

Nice course. I loved the 200 yard carry over water par three.

I've played numerous courses around northern virginia in the last couple of months and due to the rainfalll a lot of them have struggled to keep their tee boxes, fairways and greens in good condition.

This was not the case today at penderbrook. The entire course was well maintained. Would definitely play here again.

Nice layout. Several challenging holes. Condition of course was average, would have been hard if we didn't agree to roll the balls in the fairway. Great patio for a drink after the round!
