Staff I. Pro shop were not friendly at all, in fact they suggested not to use TeeOff, call direct instead..
From the second hole, we waited on every hole with a minimum of 2 Groups waiting to tee off.
The course was in terrible shape, would not expect that for 100/ person.
When I spoke to the ranger about slow play, he said we were lucky, it’s usually slower.
Loved the course
This course challenges you and keeps you coming back for more. It’s a really great track! This course is in great shape and will give you the golf experience you wanted. Regardless of your skill level you will find this course an enjoyable experience from the time you tee off till the time you leave. Super friendly staff! The practice facilities allows you to fine tune your swing. Check out the restaurant too. Great burger and beer to complete your golfing day of fun. Best kept secret in SRQ.
A golf club for everyone
What a great club!! The course is challenging and enjoyable to play. The experience is worth it in every way. This is a club for people who love golf. Whatever your skill level the course keeps you coming back to try the challenge again. The Head Golf Pro Andy Secret and his staff are friendly and focused on making your golf experience great, From the time you heck in until the time you throw your clubs in the trunk you will be glad you played there. It’s a golf club for true golf lovers. Try out the restaurant! Great place to hang out afterwards and enjoy a beer and burger.
Room for improvement
While Serenoa has made some improvements to the course - specifically with great sand in the bunkers and flatter tee boxes, they should repair some of the greens with weeding, cutting, and rolling to increase speeds and eliminate bumpy surfaces. Finally, overseeding fairways with rye would improve playability
Great lunch, slow greens
My foursome had a lunch and golf package. The server in the restaurant was great. Friendly and efficient. The lunch and beverage selections were very good and varied. The layout of the course is very good and some holes are challenging. The pace of play was slow. According to the GPS in the cart, we finished one half hour behind pace even though we waited on every shot. The only complaint about the course is the slowness of the greens. Beautifully maintained, the greens were painfully slow.
Home course
This is my go to course when I’m home from college. The free lunch with your tee time in the morning is unbeatable plus the foods good. Pace of play is rough on some days for sure a ranger should enforce that in my opinion but other than that good bang for the buck.
Would love to return....
First time to Serenoa and liked the architecture and nature (birds, deer and lakes). We happened behind an outing of mostly non-golfers that slowed play. At least they were playing a scramble format. But painfully slow. The carts have GPS with pace of play timing expectations and we got behind expected pace by over 30 minutes. We wanted to finish before dark. The group did finally make an effort to let us through. Thank you! I will return!
Lost Range Finder
The course was in pretty good shape. We waited on a few holes but it moved pretty good. Sad side is I left my nice Callaway 300 Pro range finder on the cart frame. I've called them two different times and they didn't find it. I'm sure it's on eBay by now.
Good track, good value
We enjoyed our round. Three of us were playing it for the first time, the fourth just once years ago. There were a few holes where we could have used some guidance on the water hazards. We’ll know better next time. We had a very nice round overall.
Great course for your investment!
Pace of play was good. Tee off early and everyone plays quickly and respectful of others pace. Greens in good shape stay below the hole if you can. There are scoreable holes and know when not to be aggressive.
Nicely challenging course
Some terrifying looking carries over water from championship tees but our group was playing off the whites, golds and reds, from where water came into play mainly when shots were not straight. Greens in good condition and medium fast. Some soggy spots around greens due to previous day heavy rain, but mostly drained well. Pretty and interesting course; saw wildlife including gators, deer and woodpecker. Needed to take a drop from a pair of stalks who would not move!
