Reviews
Excellent Course
We played the Waterford GC yesterday, the Turnberry/Gleneagles combo. It was a very pleasant experience. The greens were excellent, moderately quick and true. The fairways were fine, too, especially considering the absence of rain in the area. One of the best features of this course is that none of the holes are the same. There are some very interesting dog-legs and the #1 and #2 handicap holes are both really interesting and challenging. With the Big Summer Card, this semi-private course was a definite value. The practice facilities were OK, although including range balls in the greens fees would have been less petty than charging for them. Although the course was busy, we still finished our round in about 4 1/4 hours. We had a pleasant, reasonably priced lunch in the restaurant. Our server was attentive and very pleasant. We will definitely return!
Worth it!
Played Gleneagles/Turnberry - both in nice shape, greens very nice, just a tad slow but very playable and hold the ball well. Gleneagles plays little friendlier and more open than Turnberry which has a bit more character. Worth the money, played in <4hrs, friendly folks/community. Wind is a factor so gauge accordingly; fun tracks tho and in good shape. Recommend.
Will def play again
A little mix up on our tee times but all in all it was fabulous. Plush conditions but the holes themselves were cut uneven on every hole. The tool used must have a dull edge. lost a few strokes due to the edges.
Nice course
Conditions good, 18 holes in 3 hours, friendly people, nice layout, would come again
We’re coming back next Sunday
We’re coming back next Sunday. We might have found a hidden gem.
Will def play again
Beautiful conditions except the hole cutter had a rough edge so every hole was flawed I lost three putts due to a rough edge. Seems like an important fix for a fabulous course. I am surprised the members aren't all over it. I was told it had been a month or so this has been going on. Other than that and a little mix up with the starter It was a great experience.
Great time
Have not played this course in years. While the layout is the same the condition of the course is much better. The greens were very good ran true and seemed pretty fast compared to other local courses. Glad to see the outdoor water/ice machines. Pace of play was great played in 3.5 hours. Highly recommend
Greens are like concrete
This is a course that needs some attention. The greens are rocked hard and I hit a gap wedge from 100 yards a mile high hitting in the middle of the green and watched it bounced into the woods. This course has very very tight fairways and is it very much a challenge except for exceptionally good golfers.
Waterford Golf Course
From the time I pulled in the parking lot the staff were prompt, professional, friendly and helpful. This place is well organized! Course was in great condition! My only complaint, 8 minute tee times made the pace of play a little slow but what's your hurry when you're playing here!
Greens are like rock hard
This is an ok course with a nice staff and typical Florida golf course in a neighborhood. The greens are rock hard and even high short irons bounce over the greens.
Great coirse, professional staff!
First time playing Waterford. Staff met me in the parking lot, took my bag and told me my cart number and where it was parked. Very efficient staff but play was slow. 8 minute tee times slowed things down. 4 1/2 hours for 18 holes. Seemed slow but had a great time!
