About
The Hyatt River Marsh Golf Club is Maryland's leading Eastern Shore golf course. The classic design incorporates challenging elements including sculpted bunkers and mature trees but balances them with wide, player-friendly fairways and inviting greens. Water has a prominent presence on the course with Shoal Creek meandering through the course and the Choptank River serving as a backdrop to many of the greens. The riverside golf course has the look and feel of a seaside links course. The final two holes are the golf course's most memorable. The par-3 17th requires a dramatic carry over Shoal Creek to a large green strategically guarded by three bunkers. The 17th is a challenging and scenic hole but it only sets the scene for Hyatt River Marsh Golf Club's final hole. Touted as one of the best holes in the Mid-Atlantic region, this classic risk-reward par 5 has a bunker and the Choptank River running its entire length.

New grass taking root
Last season they reseeded the entire course and it is taking root still. It is in good shape right now, and will only get better. It’s a beautiful course that has done absolutely breathtaking holes. If you play at twilight rates it is a phenomenal deal.
Aceman
Tough conditions with blinding rain & wind during about 6 holes during the round!!
Course was in generally good shape & is always a challenging blast to play.
Staff are always super friendly, courteous & polite.
The only draw back about the course is the homes they are building adjacent to many fairways taking away the ambience of an links course

Love River Marsh, great lay out, friendly staff, good pace of play.
Course conditions - greens almost back from aeration, fairways in really good shape, rough was typical after a couple days of rain, bunkers in great shape (I was in most of them so I have first hand knowledge)
Can’t wait to play my next rd there!
Great Course Design, Fair Maintenance
This is a beautifully designed course that really needs some attention. WAY too much clover and weeds on tee boxes, fairways and greenside for this to be considered a premium course. Worth a play at a lower price but not the price of a premium course. Staff very friendly. Nice carts with GPS. Directions to course using Google Maps confusing, better to set Hyatt than River Marsh. Poor signage for return to pro shop from #18. Pace of play excellent, but rain forecast and we were the only ones on the course.
Beautiful Layout Fair Condition
This is a beautiful and interesting layout that really needs some attention. WAY too much clover and weeds on tee boxes, fairways and greenside for a premium course. Interesting that nothing has changed maintenance wise in the 5 years since I last played the course. Staff very friendly, nice carts with GPS. Course requires some strategy since hazards are close to landing areas off the tee. Very generous fairways on most holes. Wayfinding to Pro Shop from #18 is a challenge. ONE sign!. Getting to the course using Google maps for directions is also challenging, just set the Hyatt, not the course.
Review
No food , no bar open, construction disrupted the experience and no bar cart. Staff was great , course was Ok.
Great course but aerated
My third time playing the course was only dampened by the recent aeration which I wasn’t informed about. It had a week or so to go before it healed so the outs were bumpy. I would definitely play there again because I know the course that it can be but I will make it a point to ask about the aeration before making a teetime.
Maintenance
I have played this course dozens of times. Well kept couse. Most recent trip, the fairways haven't filled in yet and the greens were recently punched and sanded. Bumpy and slow. That's to be expected.
