Old Orange at Verandah

We played this course before, but this time they just canceled our confirmed tee time without pre warning. I assume the time was too good and they needed it for their members????

this course is as good as any course in southwest florida. I would recommend to any one that is a decent golfer.

Some of the greens were unfair in the Nicklaus's style which made me think Who did he build the course for? Certainly not the average golfer. But all the fairways were really wide and getting into trouble off the tee was a challenge. Very nicely maintained with lots of tees to choose from.

Great track. Loved the greens and the wonderful live oaks. Need to either pit layout of course on scorecard or have a book available for sale at clubhouse. There are a few surprises out there You guys keep a right ship

Great course , with a very friendly staff.I live in Colorado, first round since nov.and it showed. Wonderful layout with beautiful greens.I going back next week..

Very nice course. And fun game! Good quality Difficult greens but nice and fast. Memorable my husband had a hole in one on the third hole! The only drawback was that our tee time was confirmed at 1:30 pm and we were pushed back to 1:45pm for some unknown reason.

This course is suitable for beginners as well as for golfers with one-digit handicap. He offers absolutely interesting holes, however, forgives also for mistake. The maintanence is very good. A little bit too expensive, but all together a very nice golf course.

Everything was excellent. I was lucky to play for 55$ but its worth 100$.

It equals some of the beat courses i played like the Waldorf. Fairways were in excellent condition. Greens were perfect and fast at 11.

Have played here a number of times and will continue to play. A real value in off season and thru golfnow.

Great landscape, nice fairways and fast greens! A MUST to play there!

Playing verandah is always a great experience it's like going on vacation for the day..The greens are fast and well kept and for the money you can't beat this place for how well and fast it plays a bargain still any price !

Perfect setting, very nice staff, beautiful layout and excellent condition of the course. Best course played in the area in December 2013.

A great course (Old Orange) but a bit difficult. If you don't drive it straight the fairways run right in to the ponds no rough to hold it up. Directions from hole to hole could be a bit better for the new players to find their way around the course. Overall a great course and worth giving it a play.

The greens were running 10.10 the day I played the Old Orange. Can't wait to get back and play the Whispering Oaks. Pro shop was super nice, as well as the course. Really enjoyed it.

Having played Whispering Oaks, Old Orange's sister course, I was expecting good things and boy did this course deliver. No matter what level you play, the course is both challenging and forgiving. There are opportunities to score and just as the course can give, it can take away. Great practice facilities are worth showing up early for. Staff was friendly and helpful. The guys in the lounge are a hoot. If you get a chance to play either course, do it.

The course is always in great shape. Friendly staff and attentive. The greens are a little slow but in very good condition. Would recommend this to players of all different levels. Has a couple of good risk reward holes....nice!!

The staff is friendly, the courses offer some variety.
Greens usually run about 10.
Not too many houses along the course and usually a good distance away.
Definitely worth the price

Played Old Orange - absolutely stunning. Well established and beautifully presented. The greens presented a different challenge every hole. An absolute joy to play but you need to be on your best game. A few more signs of where to go would have been useful.
