Great for the short game
This is a fun course for players of beginner-intermediate levels. None of the holes are very long but there are some challenging holes with bunkers and some of the greens can be tricky depending on pin placement. It's very well-maintained, the staff are friendly and accommodating. Good value. I lucked out and got paired w/ an Ambassador who was very helpful and friendly. Beginners will like the fact that they can see the pin from each T. And some of the holes are less than 100 yards. I'm just learning to play golf-took lessons 6 mos ago and have played a total of 8 rounds at 3 different courses in last 6 mos. This is a perfect course to play, practice and have fun. Overall a terrific experience. Took around 2 1/4 hours to play 18.
15" vs 4"
First time I have played the course with the new 15" hole option. Enjoyed the chance to be under par for the round. Not sure I would play the 15" holes everytime, but it made for a quick and enjoyable round.
Excellent par three course
Playing Lomas Executive Golf course for the second time I have to say I love it. Even if its only a par three corse (2 short par 4 holes) you will find several reason to play it.
- perfect greens
- great practice for your short game
- quick play
- friendly people
We will be back soon!
Great for couples
This is a great place for me to practice my short game and for my wife to play as well. She is a 34 and I am an 8, she can get a few pars and see how she has improved as a beginner. The greens were in great shape.
Great Exec. Course
Had a great time. Course is Executive Challenging but golfer-friendly. Great breeze on the back 9.
THIS IS A GOOD COURSE TO PRACTICE YOUR SHORT GAME OR IF YOU ARE A SENIOR AND DONT WANT TO PLAY A LONG COURSE
VERY NICE COURSE AND LOCATION ,Course is in good shape with the breeze that comes off the ocean, and the rolling hills, and the plush greens makes this a really nice excetive course. Will play here again soon.
Great day!
The course, the staff and the weather were all very nice.
Better if players repair their ball dents on the greens.
We will play here again.
Good value
A great value for the money. Excellent for newcomers to golf like myself or those familiar with the game who want to work on short/mid game. My only criticism is some of the fellow golfers failed to rake sand traps or fix dibets.

Most of the tee boxes have been redone, much better, flatter now. Good tune-up course to work on your short iron game, most puts are pretty straight on.
Full disclosure
Course had many temporary tees and no course alert icon on GolfNow. Also no walking rate icon like you see on most of the courses that don't include a cart in their green fee. Weather was the bright spot
Good Short Course
Nice short course. My buddy and I walked all 18 holes with no problem. I think we started at 6:45 am and were done by 9 am. I would recommend this course for someone wanting to play a quick game and wanting to work on their irons.
great course for good prices
This course was in excellent condition but there was only one thing. There was a junior tournament going on right before us so our tee time was delayed over half an hour and the pace of play was incredibly slow due to the tournament. I wish that there would've been a way for them to tell us this. Otherwise, it was great .
Slow pace if play
On the front nine we waited for 10-15 min per hole. Seems that there were too many tee times sold after a junior tournament.
close and usually not all that expensive. It"s good for thee wife
It was nice to go through Golfnow for my tee time, but Greg said the price I had on the chit was not riding! for each. So he tore up the chit and charged me more.
love this little close
This is probably the best executive course I have ever played, always kept up well greens always in good shape. Its' a little pricy but that keeps the usual executive type hack off the course and probably explains why the course is in the shape it is always in. (Nothing against hacks we were all hacks at one time and we all can still hack)
There is no traditional turn at 9 so get what you need before teeing off and no driving range. Great place to work on your 100 yard shot and all that comes with the approach shot from that distance. I recommend this course to all. Oh and by the way I have two holes in one at this place, my only two holes in one (the term only is relative here....lol.
Convenient to where our Daughter lives
Took grand children who take lessons at Lake San Marcos to play while we were visiting from Scottsdale Arizona. Rates were posted at $17 per player. Walking rate was $17 per player it was an additional $24.00 per player to play this average course. 3/4 of the courses in Phoenix include cart so I did not think about a walking rate with two children 8 and 6 years old who's average drive is 160.
Will probably not consider playing this course again. Oh by the way the 8 year old had 11 pars and our 6 year old grandchild had 9. They scored better than my husband and I who play all the time at all the beautiful courses Scottsdale and Phoenix has to offer.
A nice place that you may not want to visit.
Lomas Santé Fe is a really nice Executive Golf Course. Well maintained, not too challenging for novice to intermediate golfers and really nice place to play/practice.
Here's the downside, the customer service at Lomas Santé Fe puts this course at the very bottom on any play list. I played this course for the first and last time today. When I checked in I greeted the staff behind the counter with "Good Afternoon". His response was "What do you need". I gave him my name; he said you can take Cart 9. I held out my hand for the key, he tossed it on the counter.
I played my round, enjoyed the course, but I will never return. (Clifford Roberts is smiling somewhere).
Great little practice course
Title say's it all.
Want to get in some play in 3hrs or less
Great for practicing your short game
Great easy going course. My happy place.
Love this course and at $10/round, you can't beat it.
Staff is friendly, course is in good condition, pace of play is decent.
Great course to work on your short game...100 in.
