Golfer Reviews
10th hole is deceiving
Very tight layout. Lots of homes around the course. Greens were mostly good. For Florida at this time of year.
10th hole layout is deceiving. Three of us drive our balls in the pond off the tee due to not seeing the direction of the fairway
Never play here
The worst golf course I’ve ever played by far. Not worth $5 and I paid $50. Stay away if you don't want to waste your time.
A refreshing change for Gainesville
It's nice to finally have a choice of public courses to play in the Gainesville area. Until nrecently, there was only one public course and it's a disaster. Turtle Creek is a challenging, tight layout but isn't punishing. It is in very good condition at this time (December) and seems to be an excellent value for the money. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only complaint was pace of play which was a bit slow but overall I am very happy to have found this course.
Not worth the money
Horrible tee boxes. Many Greens in bad shape. On course workers mow while you are hitting shots. One was cutting weeds out of the green on a part 3 while we were waiting to the off. He looked at us several times and didn't move. Finally we had to yell at him to get off the green. More expensive than Lake City country Club which is in perfect shape and less expensive.
