Golfer Reviews
Turkey Creek for the First Time
Staff was tremendous- all were personable and truly enjoyable to work with! They even provided suggestions on how to play the course. We had a great time, but the course needs a bit of TLC. By adding some more money and cleaning up the details, Turkey Creek can make a wonderful comeback. All in all, a good experience!
Just aerated, but looking good
Tight layout, but great course, very nice practice area. Worth the trip for sure.
It’s come a long way!
Since reopening a few years ago, Turkey Creek GC, has constantly improved and has a great group of individuals managing the course.
This is a tough course (for weekend golfers) with tight fairways and greens that have continuously gotten better over the past few years.
Great challenging course
Narrow fairways and fast greens make for a challenging but fun course.
course layout winds through an old subdivision. Out of bounds areas are fair. Water comes into plat on only a few holes.
The fairways are in good condition. The greens were extremely slow, hard to get the ball to roll true and to the hole. No roll out. The greens were very receptive to second shots. This course was close for several years and is on the come back. Once the greens are brought back into shape, I will be going back again. Love the layout and scenery throughout the course.
Switchero
So, a month or so ago the only thing good about the conditions here were the greens. Now, they are HORRIBLE. Forget practice putting. No two green were the same except for missing grass and dirt. Some were so fast because they had no grass, others needed to cut even though they had dirt and sand spots everywhere. This course is becoming a joke! Higher prices than others and not half as good.
They need to fix tee boxes and fairways
Not worth the money for a course that's in such poor shape. Go to Ironwoord, Lake City, Ocala. Anywhere but here. Definitely not worth the money.
Greens in excellent condition. Fairways are under grown
Needs an Update
Tee boxes, fairways, and some greens are bad. Trees are overgrown in areas and tree roots are everywhere. Mostly because there is no grass on the rock hard fairways. Definitely not worth what they charge.
How can you have a tournament here?
Bad tee boxes, bad fairways, bad traps, greens ok. Not in the shape you'd expect for a tournament.
