Gary Panks designed Aliante Golf Club to be player friendly rather than score crushing. It is supposed to be a Las Vegas golf version of Cheers.

Everyone may not know your name, but there is a huge practice facility, good clubhouse digs to kick back in and most of all a 7,022-yard layout that does not play nearly as fearsome as its 139-slope rating would indicate.

Which doesn't mean there isn't plenty of variety. With 54 bunkers, 14 bridges, four ponds and two waterfalls, about all Aliante is missing is a kitchen sink on a par 5.

"Aliante is a little out of the way, but it was well worth the trip," Todd Dewey wrote in TravelGolf.com. "It was a bit surreal to be playing in a picturesque setting in that part of town and the fast pace of play made it even more enjoyable. There was absolutely no waiting."

a great day

The course overall is in good condition. The greens are still a bit rough, but you can see the improvement.

Greg, the starter, is fantastic. Friendly, organized, he makes you feel welcome. I also ate the course. Limited menu, but very tasty and good service. I would recommend this course to all comers, both residents and visitors.

Worth the drive

Great golfing experience. 40 minute drive from the strip, but well worth it. Great staff, course layout was beautiful and playable. Would play again for sure. Couldnt imagine a better course for its value.

Staff at this course made everything better

Though the course is not fantastic and could be better kept, it was good and dealing with the people running the course made the golf game great.

Spring break

never played this course before so it was a little difficult to judge such things as the greens - which I found to be slow (but in good condition) compared to others. he course is located North end of Vegas and is approx 20 mins drive from the central strip area. club house and restaurant are ok and the starting staff where fantastic.

i would definitely play this course again.

Vegas Trip

20 min drive from Ballys (ok) starting staff arewell organized and got us away on time.

Fairways are in good condition howeve they seems to be on the “dry” side and defiantly so for the rough, Greena are in gos condition however they are a lot slower than what you would expect given that the fairways are hard and fast.

A little disappointed that you have no idea where your hitting too ot how big the teens are as there is no GPS and nothing on the scoring cards to help you.

i would play this course again but at no great rush to.

overall we enjoyed our day, the price was ok and no one got hurt !!

great day

I have played over 100 courses and have never met nicer staff than what they have. The course is well laid out, they had top dressed the greens the day before so they were a little rough but still very playable. Most enjoying round of golf I have had in a long while thanks to the amazing staff.

A Good Alternate Course in Las Vegas Area

I chose Aliante based on the GolfNow reviews and they were pretty spot on. The course was in decent shape, except the greens. The greens were clearly on the rebound and were at least playable. Should be fine within the next couple months of spring weather. The course is fun and has some challenges, especially on the back 9. Staff was very nice. I am sure there are courses closer to downtown LV, but this was a refreshing change about 25 miles north of the Strip. Take an Uber if you don't have a rental car.

Not any better

This course recently went under new management for the third time and is no better than it was before. The course at best is average and is poorly maintained. If you are hitting from bunkers you will need a wedge capable of breaking concrete. Also you can not get lessons from a pro at this course if you want to brush up on your game.. It is my understanding the new management company did not deem it necessary to have a pro on hand.

Fun course

Played on Sat., Excellent pace of play for a Sat.. fairways and greens were pretty hard (good for drives not so for approach shots). Course is fun to play, good to play with someone with course knowledge.

a good play

The course is in good shape and the greens are showing improvement each time I play. This course can test you but it also has a forgiving side for that occasional mishit. As with most Courses in Las Vegas the sand traps are firm with little sand. Carry a lob wedge. Always a fun play.

Very Nice Course

This was a very nice course. It wasn’t busy so the pace was great. A few holes were challenging with lots of hazards and bunkers. It was a very fun round of golf.

Great Place for a Christmas Getaway

Wife and I played a round on Christmas Eve and it was fabulous. There was abundant wild life around, including several native birds, and more rabbits than you could count.

A Course for Any Player

Played Dec. 21. Rough was dormant & easy to play off. Fairways were cut short - had a lot of roll. Sand traps surround the greens. Water hazards were no problem. Houses were set back far enough, so no problem of trying to avoid them. It was extremely windy; but still enjoyed our game.
