Wolf at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
About
Forget everything you've heard about that gentler, kinder Pete Dye at Paiute. When you step onto the Wolf Course at the Las Vegas Paiute Resort, the legendary architect with the cold hacker heart returns. And then some. The newest of the three Paiute courses, comes in at a staggering 7,604 yards.
And it's an isolated 7,604 yards. You don't only get lost in your round here. You could almost literally get lost in the desert with a few wrong turns off the cart path. Drives that go flying off target deep into the desert areas are unlikely to found by another human ever. A rattlesnake might be keeping your Pro V1s company for the rest of their days. This is stunning scenery, capable of leaving the most cynical hacker open mouthed.
Paiute Wolf is just a far enough drive away from the Sin City hustle that it's likely the top, high-end course you can easily get on last minute in the Vegas valley. It also might be the best of them all.
Also known as Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort - Kwetoo-Unuv Course.

17th hole "island green" Paiute Wolf Course Photo submitted by RockinDoc on 10/05/2012
The golf course is supreme and in 💯 great shape
Greens were pure and very fast / true
Overall turf condition in fairways was plush
Played all 3 tracks and really enjoyed them
Was in Sin City this week. While the wife was making donations to keep the casinos open I on the other hand saved money and played LV golf daily. I used the golf now app to book a round at each of the 18 hole courses, sun, snow, wolf. I think wolf was the best followed by snow, however, others in the group liked sun the best. Bottom line is they are all great tracks. The service team there is very friendly and accommodating. The maintenance of the course is stellar! They being on a Res have plentiful access to water and it shows with how lush courses are kept. You won’t go
Wrong playing here at any of the 3 tracks.
Worth the trip from The Strip
A first class golf experience all around. It's worth coming even if all you got to play was the practice area. The practice area is better maintained than most golf courses fairways and greens. The practice green was noticeably faster than the course greens. A few more flags on the range lithesome distance signage would be appreciated. You green fee includes unlimited use of the range facilities for the day, some come early and enjoy! Next time I may spend half the day on the range. So nice it makes you WANT to practice. The course was moderately challenging if you play the appropriate tees. From the tips it is too long for most golfers.Pace of play was great for the first 12 holes...just 2 hours. The next 6 holes took another 2.5 hours! Not sure what the holdup was in front of me, THEY should have stayed on the range.. There was no marshall visible on the course the entire day to get the turtles to speed up or allow others to play through. The greens are large. If the pin is at the other end, you may be putting into a different zip code. Because they are big, the undulations appear subtle...until your ball steadily careens away from your intended path. Similarly the fairways undulate in all directions, often hiding hazards you would have avoided had you known they were there. The GPS map did not always show reality. I enjoyed my round, but I suspect I could shave 7-9 strokes the next time having some course knowledge. For the first timer, just suck it up, adapt and enjoy.!!!.
Tough Track
Extremely well maintained course. Greens are real quick and more severe than the other courses at Paiute. Excellent test of golf, very friendly staff and hot cart and snack bar girls!
Always prestine
Nothing but amazing and challenging course. The signature island green always stunning and very intimidating. Most recommended golf course in Las Vegas. And it’s worth the pay.
Go there when you are in LAS
Tremendous facility and golf experience. Make the drive. You will not be disappointed.
Beautiful and Challenging
Had. A 250pm tee time that finished at 720, so right on 4 1/2 hours for a round
The staff was great and helpful ok explaining the layout of the facilities to make sure I could be well-prepared for the round.
The facilities are top notch from a driving range that reached over 300 yards to a short game and putting space that is realistic to course conditions.
The Wolf Course is a long on. Although the fairways are fairly generous, there can be difficulty in carding a good score of you miss on the wrong places (and, if you're familiar with Pete Dye layouts, there can be plenty).
The backdrop on every hole was nothing short of exceptional and was just as enjoyable as the round itself. Would definitely recommend playing if you have it in the budget.
Best course in Vegas for the price
Paiute is incredible as always. Course is in great shape, range is amazing, staff is great. Definitely a must play in the Vegas area.
Well worth it. Loved the course
Beautiful Course
Short drive from the strip. It is very well kept with a friendly staff. My first time out to play Wolf. After reading all the reviews I was feeling a bit anxious and intimidated. But the course is very fair and playable. The only criticism I would bring up is the greens did not hold. They were big and undulating and fun to putt, but wished they held a little better.
Great course but very windy
This is a beautiful course and it is in excellent condition. The greens are very nice. The wind never stops and it is what makes the course difficult. If you like playing in the wind, you will love this course.
