Would’ve Gave 5 Stars if it Wasn’t for the Old Grouch in the Pro Shop

Great course for the price! Good pace, payed under 4 hours which isn’t common these days. The only thing I would change about the course is the grouchy guy in the pro shop.

Extremely slow play this day

I've played this course about 40 times in the last couple years. Normally I give it a very good rating for value, layout and condition of the greens. I usually give it a good rating for the pace of play as well. NOT this day. The pace was so slow that I quit after almost 3 hours and I was only through the 10th hole! I usually play this course in about 3.5 - 4 hours. It just wasn't fun having to wait 3 - 5 minutes to hit almost every shot. Apparently I wasn't the only one disgusted with the pace. A twosome from at least 2 holes behind me drove their carts right through our fairway on hole 7 and almost on the fringe of our green while my group was chipping on to the green!!! One of our players yelled at them but they didn't care and went to the tee box and cut in front of us on the next hole. Then I yelled at them and they didn't even respond. They just hit their balls and took off. I still recommend this course but this was an awful day!

Very cool and unique layout for the course, not good condition, but I almost got a hole in one so that’s groovy

Hemet Club is turning back the clock to 1995!

Playing on Christmas is a six year tradition for me since I left San Diego after the divorce. Enough about me, let me tell you how much Hemet Club has improved since new owners started maintaining this very good layout. It had been raining and everything was very green, but all the course improvements were a welcomed sight. I played this course in the Nineties, when it was one of the best courses in the Temecula Valley. See my earlier reviews for context and then throw them all out. Ever part of the course is undergoing renovation, no, not remaking the course, but improving conditions from tee to green. New, beautiful sand is showing up in the bunkers and it's easy to see that before too long, the whole course will have received proper maintenance that this fine layout deserves. You won't find a better bargain in all of Southern California.

Canceled

Flight canceled on 12/15 and couldn’t find a convenient return to home in California. Had to cancel my round at the Hemet Golf Club.

This place is an absolute joke

Don’t waste your time and money. They have a huge range… but you can’t use it because they don’t have any range balls…. Literally none. The old man at the counter is rude as can be. They give no discount for juniors, nor do they honor the youth on the course cards. As a matter of fact… when broken down, it’s cheaper to pay for your child as an adult because it’s $35 for an adult for 18 holes and $30 for juniors for 9 holes and they try to charge an additional 9 hole rate if the kid wants to play 18. The carts are old as can be. And the course condition is mediocre at best. The woman at the snack bar was nice but they leave her to handle it by herself so it’s slow to get food. Literally any other course would be more worth your money than this place. These owners have run it into the ground and it’s going to close down like diamond valley real soon I’m sure. If you are looking to play in hemet, play at seven hills or Soboba. At least they are worth the money charged.

Still need more improvement

Course is beginning to recover after long time not being taking care off by the previous management. Hoping in the few years that this course will be in top condition.
