Canoa Ranch Golf Club

Course just opened. Greens were furry and bumpy. Will probably be better in a few weeks.

The green were green but rough. The ball hopped and jumped went rolled. ROUGH!

Played the first day after being closed for a week or two for overseed work. Everything has grown in nicely the greens need to be cut lower. They were very slow. Fairways and tee boxes were very lush and full.

6&7 were nice holes

Some greens need work, all bunkers need work.

Front nine was very slow. Found out later a mini tournament was going on. Back nine saw very fast play. The course allows no outside coolers or beverages, yet the beverage cart came by just one time and the temp was 100 degrees. It's fine to insist on no outside beverages but make something else available!

Been playing this course for more than 5 yrs. now. The club house is not going to change, too bad. Never come here expecting a cup of coffee and a sweat roll before a morning round. Let alone a breakfast burrito.

Play during the week it's normal, The weekends are horrible . 5 hr. rounds. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO MARSHALING. .They send out too many twosomes grouped up. that play slow. It been that way the last three times that we've played on weekends NO MORE. Spend more money and go to Tubac. At least there you can get breakfast.

This used to be a great course. The layout is great. Played it twice in the last year and it's garbage. Greens have zero grass on the fringe. They bounce and A LOT of bald spots. I sure hope they get some money to put into the place. San Ignacio down the street was in pretty bad shape a few months ago. Green Valley used to have some great courses. They're in a funk now. All four folks in the group HC ranging from 8 to 25 agreed we won't come back to this place. Shame.

There was lightning over the local mountains less than 5 miles away. We went into have lunch waiting for them to clear. We had only completed nine holes. They did not close the golf course and offered no compensation. I think this is really poor.
