About
Lake Presidential Golf Club is one of Maryland's most popular public courses. It is a challenging championship layout that is player friendly enough to accommodate a wide range of skill levels. It stands out from run-of-the-mill municipal courses with exceptional conditions from the tees to the greens. The layout offers a diverse mix of holes that will have golfers using every club in their bag. There are some especially interesting par 3s that are visible but with enough hazards to make them a challenge. Houses border the front nine holes but they are absent on the back nine. The fairways on the last nine holes are densely lined with mature trees. The golf course finishes with an enjoyable par 5 that plays over a lake. It can be reached in two with a little skill and accuracy.

Nice course; lacks management
During my recent golf outing, I was disappointed with the poor management of rounds by the clubhouse. On a wet and rainy day, the clubhouse allowed golfers to tee off on the back nine, even though golfers who had arrived early (0630) and were playing well ahead of pace, had to wait once they made the turn.

Best course around BUT!
By far the best course around if the greens were smooth and faster. I understand they were punched two weeks ago but they should have healed enough to role better. Faster greens and better sand traps would make this an elite golf course.
5+hr rounds
Starter had 4 groups waiting to tee off and another on the tee. I dont know how they overbook/get so backed up but it seems to be the case every time. Terrible management.

6 hour round
Course is nice for public golf but the pace of play is unbelievably slow. Not worth it.

Fantastic
The grass is green and smooth. The pace was right. The staff was kind. The bathroom was clean. The snack car was circulating. Nothing to complain about! Plz keep up the good job!
If Only The Had a 19th
Top notch course all around! I don’t make it here as often as I’d like but even their antiquated shooting range is still very nice. While they don't have the modern tracer cameras that some other courses do, you're playing off real grass, which in my opinion is worth more than any of those other kitschy add ons.
Only big knock is their 19th hole has seemed to stop existing. Was told last time that it just opened (4pm Wednesday after I finished my round) only for the bartender to tell me they just closed. Super weird. That said there's an awesome bar a mile away that claims to be their 19th hole and I can see why, check out "Babes Boys Tavern". Seems sketch at first but the bartender was sure way happier to serve me a post round beer. All in all great course!

It’s in Great Shape
Greens are repairing nicely after a recent aeration. The rest of the course is in great shape - another week and the greens will roll true. I had a great round!
Great Conditions
The course is in great shape - fairways and tee boxes are coming in nicely! Greens were aerated recently but are repairing nice - balls are still tracking rather straight right now a few more weeks and it will be rolling true! I enjoyed my round!
Week day play
I always like the course layout. For some reason the back nine has a slower pase of play. But over all I enjoy playing there. This was my second time playing there.
Slow play, punched greens, and lame manager
Nice course, good facilities, absurdly slow play. 20 minute wait to tee off. 10-15 min between holes. Front nine was 3 plus hours.
Manager grudgingly gave partial credit since we ran out of time to play back. No apology whatsoever, like he was doing us a favor.
Also greens had recently been punched but there was no warning on website like most other courses have’
Probably wouldn’t go back but since they only gave us vouchers and not cash refunds I guess we kind of have to.

Poor conditions
I was not told only 9 holes were open and those greens were aerated no ranger to regulate the golfers starting on the first hole and the ones making the turn and replay ing the 9 holes
No ball washers no drinking water no cart girl

Great Value Course
The conditions can be up and down, but their down time is better than dog tracks imo. Their up times are immaculate. I always know I'm getting good value for the round if it's less than $70 lol
