Robson Ranch Golf Club

First time and it was brutal. Weather was horrible but even if the weather was nice the course itself needs a lot of improvement. Fairways need better grass, rough areas is all dry grass, greens were in decent condition. Course has a lot of potential just needs some more tender care.

A course which is challenging from tip to tip but less so as you tee forward. No water hazzards to speak of, but fairly well bunkered. That said, bunker sand quality is generally lacking and hitting normal sand shots is difficult due the poor sand conditions. Greens can be a challenge but seem to suffer some degree of inconsistency during a round, speed- wise.

Clubhouse is nice and is sometimes well stocked and off course amenities are top rate for the area. Good practice areas with range, putting green and sand area available.

Big greens, wide open, nice fairways. Long par threes. Good bar restaurant but very slow food service

Easy to find, easy check in, carts cleaned but used, sand bottles on carts, water bucket for towels, ice and water for us, on time, dumb gate system to enter fairway,, tees good, fairways dry and I find harder to hit from they snag your club, roughs dry and slightly fluffy dried grass, greens generally good, bunkers mostly with pretty thin sand, cart paths all the way around, played in about 4hr20min

Tees and greens are in excellent condition despite the high volume of play. Painted fairways were somewhat of a surprise but did not affect playability. Came to hole #17 (Par 3) to find three foursomes waiting to tee off with 30 minutes until sunset. Finished in four hours and forty minutes. The amenities at Robson Ranch are commensurate with this luxury community. Friendly people both on and off the course. I will definitely be going back.

My husband and I have played Robson Ranch before, last time would have been in 2020, as we couldn’t get down to AZ in 2021. We really liked the course and made the time to book and drive over, we live about an hour away,

We were shocked at how awful the fairways, not just rough, are. Obviously painted, dried out and brittle. It looks like they did not overseed or if they did it went very wrong. The whole course was this way, the greens where passable but most very dry and hard. Tee boxes also, many so hard it was tough to get the tees in.

Seems odd that the boulevards around the golf course community are beautiful and green and the golf course grass looks so bad.

Now, we appreciate the facilities, bathrooms very clean and spaced nicely along the course. The water and ice machines are a great added feature, and the staff where very friendly.

To bad it is in such bad shape, we won’t be back.

The course seemed in the middle of nowhere, but lots of development surrounding it, and surely in a few years it will be the "Kat's Meow" of golf courses.

Well very disappointed,.the "fairways" were nothing but 2 inch dormant berumda painted green. So hit it down the middle and get a crappy lie worse than if you hit it in the rough. The desert areas are not desert the are gravel with spots of boulders you dont have to miss the fairway by much and your in it and its unplayable might as all be marked as penalty area unless you want to by new irons. The greens were really good firm and fast but from what the members i played with said they are replacing the greens over the summer, bunkers were good. But for $75 and being that far out of phoenix i expected more dormant bermuda is fine to play off but it needs to be maintained not spotty and long if its the "fairway"

Good course, Long distance between some holes. Good routing. Two downfalls were maintenance related the fairways were not over seeded, but painted green and sand traps were packed hard in areas. Playing the combo tees of Pine and Rust were nice distance. To downfalls not related to course conditions were no beverage cart and snack shed at turn closed at two.

Overall would make another trip from Gold Canyon to play course.

golfed here several times before and this was the worst, not sure id ever go back, fairways were dry and were a off green in color , i asked about this and an employee told me they were painted! pace of play was slow not sure what was going on up ahead, but our round was 5hrs did not see a marshal all day not sure they even use one,

Easy to find, easy check in, carts ok, sand bottles on cart, water bucket for towels, ice and water for us, tees ok but used, have stupid gates to enter fairways that never change only destroys that area, fairways good, roughs sometimes harder to get out of due to ball being held up some, bunkers with variable sand, greens generally pretty good and medium fast, could use a marshal at times, a little slow today and it was locals holding up the show, prices generally fairly reasonable
