About
Located just southeast of Phoenix in the town of Florence, Poston Butte Golf Club offers some of the most affordable golf in the area. The course has desert attributes but the best part about its design is that it is more forgiving than some of the overgrown desert courses found in north Scottsdale. The golf course features 49 sand traps strategically placed around the landing zones and greensides and water comes into play on two holes. It is generally a player-friendly layout though with wide fairways and ample room off the tees. The par-3 17th is the signature hole, which is known for its challenging island green. Poston Butte also offers a double-ended, targeted grass range and a short game area.

Overall great day
Fun day at Poston. Overall excellent course conditions, and surprisingly pace of play was good for late Saturday. Really nice range is a plus. I've played here multiple times over the years and honestly I don't think the staff is very friendly. Just my opinion.
Little more brown than expected
Thats it. Bit more scalped brown grass to the point of dry dirt than expected
Course is in fantastic condition, greens are fast and challenging
Love it
Live this course. From the greeters taking our bags from the car, the starter and the pro shop personnel.. all fabulous and super friendly.
Course in great shape.
Our tee time was 2:08. Employee came around to tell us that the carts needed to be back at 6:00. We were on hole 15 at 5:42. We laid fir 28 holes do we felt we should get as many in as we could before dark. Groups ahead and behind us thought the same do we kept playing.
We got it in!!! Little dark on the 18 thgreen but we were thrilled we made it. The cart guy was still in the The shop cleaning carts. We felt we were fine.
No one told us that we couldn’t play until dark.
That is the only complaint I have.
Everything else at this course is top notch!!!
Great course for the money
We enjoyed the course. Very playable. Staff friendly. Not tight up to the houses.

Greenkeepers revenge
Absurd pin placements, especially on 18. Only interesting thing about the course was the island green.
Go play Poston Butte
First time playing and will hopefully get back on the course in the near future. Other than very firm and slow greens course is in great shape. Tees, fairways and greens lush, green and plenty of grass. Would definitely recommend.
Great Layout and Conditions
I was hesitant to write one because I don’t want more people to drive all the way there and take up tee times! I love the course green conditions, fairways, and tee boxes were amazing. Fun course layout that allows players to find more green than sand and dirt than usual desert courses.
Played with my son, who unfortunately beat me, and he loved it as well. Great time and friendly and helpful staff with great customer service. Highly recommend
