Tierra Grande Country Club
About
Located in Casa Grande, Tierra Grande Country Club sits halfway between Phoenix and Arizona. Jack Snyder designed the nine-hole golf course in 1976. The course has a traditional design, which is evident in the wide fairways and large greens. It's not a tough course, but it provides a fun and quick round for any skill level. More advanced players will appreciate getting some short game practice, but it's also gentle enough for beginners and juniors to approach with confidence. There are a few strategically placed bunkers to contend with, but water won't be a major issue. Tierra Grande is open to the public and offers one of the area's best golf values. The golf course is ideal if you're looking for a quick round or if you're just learning the game.

Not a Bad Track, But...
This course is literally in the middle of nowhere...which is not a bad thing, until you consider that if you're driving from the valley, that it's a bit of a trek. The course is made of up of drivable par 4s, straight forward par 3 and a couple of what the course is calling "par 5s". The layout of the course is not terrible. However, the conditions of the course are nothing to be desired. The heights of the greens and tee boxes is a bit too high for my tastes. Staying on topic regarding the greens...they were decent in layout, but very slow and bumpy in most places. The fairways have grass, but the lies can be very questionable at times. This is a course that attracts mainly locals due to the lack of other golfing options, I suspect. Nonetheless, it takes money and turf professionals to make courses play well. I think this course has limited options on both accounts. However, if you're in the area (and I can't think of a reason why you would be), you might give it a try if you have a couple hours to burn. The day I played, I was the first one off the tee as a walking single. I completed the course in just under two hours. Note to any would be players at this course, there is no water to drink and no beverage cart that I saw. So if you plan on walking this or any other course like this, bring your own water.
Great Executive Course and affordable
It was my first time there. After getting the introduction to the layout of the course from the friendly lady I headed out to the course. It was on a Sunday early afternoon and pace of play was great not to mention the prices are fantastic. The view is wonderful and the layout is good and Tboxes are well marked. If you are dust sensitive this place may not be for you. I had a great time and I will most likely go back.
Good for the price.
I wouldn't make the trip out there too often, but it was worth it for the price. A little water would help a lot.
Short course
Course is short although it does have 2 par 5's. Very poor condition, both fairways and greens. Should be expected considering the price but pretty rough.
Fun Times at Tierra Grande
Grounds were very clean, staff was very personable & helpful, Food was very tasty & Beverages nice & cold.
This course is great
Golfed this course a few years ago and the course has improved immensely. Restaurant has great food and the staff was friendly.
Excellent Course
Played this course 3 days in a row. Great value and incredibly friendly and helpful staff. They had great food and a wonderful Bloody Mary. They sure know how to take care of you.
Good Potential
New owners have a big task ahead of them to improve the course. However it's a good play to improve your golf skills. Green fees were a fair value which included a golf cart. I will definitely play again.
One and done
This course is in a neighborhood. Its small, with very nice people running it.
The course itself has a weird layout thats hard to follow. It is mostly a big dust bowl with ground squirrels everywhere, (probably not under their control). The fairways have huge holes and little grass. Especially the back nine. The greens are dry and bumpy. Just a little desert course.
Cheapest prices around, for a reason.
