Twisted Dune Golf Club

A lot of fun, links style course. Loved the back nine a lot of different holes and challenging ones. Will complain about the bunkers, filled with rocks and stones and hardly any sand. One par 3 on the front has a bunker with actual sand and is maintained well, so if you go in you have to make an adjustment mid-round from all the hard pan bunkers previously which is unfair. The greens were fast and challenging which I loved. Overall, would come again but this course would be ELITE with well kept bunkers.

Course is always a great challenge and staff friendly and accommodating.

Pace of play was slower than ideal but the rangers acknowledged it and made efforts to get the guilty parties moving, which is nice. The layout of the course is great.

Despite severe storms the day before, the course was in excellent shape. Staff is always great. Pa e of play - 4:20, was very good.

First time playing it and had a blast. Everything was great, but not a fan of the rocky bunkers, guess I should’ve avoided them. Overall a fun layout, good pace, and kind staff.

This course gets high praise, and I just don’t see it. The fairways are wide and forgiving, and completely punishing if you miss them due to the links-style tall grasses lining the course. Bring extra balls if you sometimes hit errant shots. If you love a links course then you should enjoy this layout.

The biggest issue was the condition of the bunkers, which are prevalent throughout the fairways and surrounding greens. Expect to play out if the bunkers. However, the majority of bunkers were filled with rocks and pebbles, with little to no sand (mostly dirt). Literally rocks everywhere in the bunkers, not just a few. Playing a ‘sand shot’ would result in a barrage of rocks flying out of the bunker. Our playing partner damaged 2 wedges due to the rocks. We finally got to the point that we moved balls from the bunkers onto the grass because it’s ludicrous to have to hit rocks with your nice clubs. Minimally someone from the course should rake the bigger rocks from these bunkers, though it seemed they were not just on the surface. Better would be to put enough sand in the bunkers to cover the rocks.

Pace of play was 4 1/2 hours on a weekday, which is what the starter highlighted was expected. Drinking water stations on the course were nice. The fairways were frequently brown as it’s been warm and dry, though we did see several workers watering tee boxes. Of note, the cart girls were friendly and made several appearances, but they don’t sell any alcohol from the cart.

If you are planning a round here, go find some $10 used wedges for the bunkers.

Was worried the links layout would eat balls but fairways are generous!! Greens are fast and true. Bunkers need sand (lots of beaches nearby!!). Staff were great! Nice course.

A most enjoyable visual experience. Very fast greens.

My son and I play Twisted every summer. We usually vacation in August but took an early trip this year. The course was in great shape. Pace of play was good. When the wind blows, this place gets really fun. The staff is always friendly. We’ll be coming back again next year.

It was a great day on the links. Course was challenging and fun. Staff was very friendly. Can't wait to play there again.

This place was awesome. First time playing and will go back many more times. The course isn’t open layout virtually impossible to lose a ball lol. Overall experience was fantastic.
