Twisted Dune Golf Club

About
The golf course at the Twisted Dune Golf Club is a public, 18-hole course that is reminiscent of traditional Scottish courses. Located right on the Jersey Shore, Twisted Dune Golf Club is popular for it's beautiful views and challenging game. The deep ravines and grassy hills provide picturesque scenery and they also create interesting hazards for a good game.
Twisted Dune Golf Club lives up to his name with its twisting links-style layout, elevation changes, and rolling fairways. The golf course has par-5 holes that stretch over 500 yards as well as several par-4's and par-3's. The course also has wide fairways and large greens of bent grass.

The course is showing wear.
Generally, the fairways were good and the greens were above average. Unfortunately, tee boxes and bunkers were in poor shape
Good course
The course layout was great, the tee boxes were not great
Poor condition
Fairways and tee boxes in rough shape
greens ok but very fast for a public course
Overall a fun day but in no hurry to go back
Early birds catch the worms!
We had the first tee time on a July Monday morning. Cloud cover, so we didn't roast in the sun. A three-some with two guys who knew the layout. (It was my first time). I'm a newly minted Senior so I took advantage of the rate. Ready golf. We moved quicky and finished in 3:20. Greens were firm and quick but big enough to hit and stick on my approaches. The fairways were in great shape notwithstanding the knuckleheads who dont replace divots. They're are also a few really nice vistas. (Views? South Jersey? Who'd a thought!). They've kept the paths unpaved. You get a little dust in your teeth and the carts are worse for the wear but I love the natural-ness! I'll be back in the Fall. Looking forward to the off season rates. Next time I'll stick around and have an adult beverage on the lovely veranda - BYOB for us cheapskate seniors!
Really fast greens
Very challenging tee to green track. Love the hills and slopes some fairways offer. Keep it in play or else you’ll be lucky to find your ball. Downhill putts very difficult to stop anywhere near the hole. For us amateurs, this was the biggest challenge. Only real negatives on the day we played which was a Monday at noon, there was no place to park the car, the lot was full. Had to park on the driveway in. And when it was our tee time, we had to wait about 15 minutes because all the carts were in use and had to wait for people to finish with theirs.. we’ll definitely be back!!!
All good except...
New golf carts would be I nice upgrade. Carts are very beat up.
Good course, rough amenities
Golf course is fairly good condition but you can tell it gets a lot of play. Greens are nice.
Amenities such as golf carts and range are not well maintained.
Staff is nice
Interesting layout
Enjoyed the links / dunes style course and the layout. Greens were firm and fast, but they were fairly consistent. Overall course is fun to play with fairly wide landing areas and interesting approaches to greens based on natural slope of terrain.
really nice course
everything was great except the bunkers(all rocks)
Great course
A lot of fun, links style course. Loved the back nine a lot of different holes and challenging ones. Will complain about the bunkers, filled with rocks and stones and hardly any sand. One par 3 on the front has a bunker with actual sand and is maintained well, so if you go in you have to make an adjustment mid-round from all the hard pan bunkers previously which is unfair. The greens were fast and challenging which I loved. Overall, would come again but this course would be ELITE with well kept bunkers.
