Put Black Lake on your bucket list
I live in Southwest Florida and spend the month of July in northern Michigan. Black Lake Golf Club is a course I visit each summer. Also included on my summer buck list is the classic Tom Watson favorite course--Belvedere Golf Club near Charlevoix. Black Lake is a challenging yet fair test of golf. No two holes are the same. You will NOT be bored or think "didn't I just play this hole?"" Tee boxes and greens are well maintained, and the fairways are in excellent condition. You will experience quite a few elevation changes during the round, and holes #9 and #18 feature uphill par 5s that challenge your stamina even though walking is not an option. Be prepared for a memorable golf experience complete with wildlife--I saw two deer and a pileated woodpecker during my round.

My home course is simply phenomenal. Tough challenge unless you are "on" all aspects of your game. Greens, fairways and tees r impeccable!

Incredible Course
Been knocking out the top rated courses in Michigan this summer and this has been my favorite so far. Take it for what it’s worth but I’d put it above Arcadia. Fun par 3’s, monster par 5’s and tons of fun all around. Incredibly well maintained.

Course was a great shape. Good variety of t box selection. The only negative was no appetizer selection on the menu.
