Tiger Point Golf Club
About
The course at Tiger Point runs alongside the Intracoastal Waterway, offering panoramic ocean views. The course was designed in the tradition of classic Scottish links golf courses but with the added feature of water, which comes into play on 14 holes. A generous sprinkling of towering southern pines sets the layout apart as well. Originally a nine-hole course, another nine was added in 1984 and in 1989, then was another redesign of the golf course. Since then, it has becomes one of the Pensacola area's most treasured courses. Tiger Point also offers a driving range, practice bunker, two practice greens, and a chipping green.

Enjoyable experience
It was extremely windy the day I played making the course much more challenging. The course and greens were in good condition and the pace of play was great. Overall enjoyable day on the course.
I had a ball couldn't get enough!
Nice. Not overly crowded. Long depending upon wind conditions. Greens are fast. Bunkers in good shape for the most part. I really enjoyed it for the money. 18 on Thursday and got in 54 on Friday.
I will probably play this course again.
The Saturday before Easter, I played Tiger Point. The course wasn't bad, but is still coming back to life from the winter. The greens were pretty bumpy. But again, the course is still coming back to life. The staff were good and helpful. I look forward to their second course reopening...
Fair deal for the price we paid. Would not have been worth the normal rate.
Course could use some TLC. Two fivesomes tee'd off ahead of our threesome. Pace of play was way too slow. The threesome behind us was impatient and hit into us, even after we scolded them on hole #2 for the infraction!!
Challenging and fun.
Four of us played in under 3.5 hours. Take lots of extra golf balls, you'll need them for all the water and wind blowing off the coast. I'll be back.
Tough playing in windy conditions
The course is fairly wide open with water coming into play on several holes if you don't keep it in or close to the fairway. We played it in windy conditions that made it all that more challenging. Both the greens and the fairways were in great shape for this time of year. A course that I will definitely play again when in the area.
This a great course with challenging holes and beautiful views.
Greens and fairways are very well managed. This course has improved vastly since it was turned over to new management. Staff is a lot friendlier now too.
Pretty good for the winter.
My biggest critisism of this course is the condition of the on course restrooms, they are filthy. I have played here many times over the past five years and have consistantly found them this way.
Nice course
Made the trip up to Pensacola from Orlando, wanted to get a round of golf in, went with TigerPoint. No regrets, nice round of golf, playable course, some interesting holes, homes do not come in to play which is nice. Good spread. Some difficult greens to hit and a lot of fairways need work. A bit overpriced in my opinion.
This course is clasic links style.
Generous landing areas off the tee with plenty of hazards around the greens. Beware of the wind conditions B4 U book. We played in a stiff breeze off the Gulf which made play very challenging. A good play. Hope 2 return.
fun
i always play here when in pensacola. wasn't very busy this time. usually there is a crowd. maybe the economy, other places in town were a little slow, too.
quite a bit of water, challenge increases with the wind.
A great course, with great features
The day we played it was fairly nice out when we started, but got windy, cold, and rain on the back nine. we still played the full course, and with my wife you dont play in the cold or rain. we both liked the course so much it did not make a difference. We have played the course two times now, and have tee time for tomorrow. If you havent played this course better go and see for yourself, we love it
Solid layout in good condition.
This course had a nice mix of holes to challenge better players, but was still very playable to the beginner from the forward tees. A nice mix of well placed water and bunker hazards will give you pause before unleashing the" Big Dog" on every hole. The fairways are for the most part fairly generous. The greens are well kept and reasonably consistent. The breaks are a little tricky to read, check the putt from more than one side. Overall, a worthy course that will keep you coming back.
The course has great features
It was a great course to golf. It was hard to figure the yardage, which did not seem right with the card.
Couldnt finish my round
the course was great and I dont know if it was just the time of year or what but after 14 hours and 5 hours I just gave up and went home. over booked or just pace of play by people in front or a little of both. but as far as the course it was very nice
Nicest course around for the money, great views of the ocean.
I greatly enjoyed my round. Back nine has more water in play than the front. Generous fairways for the most part. Nice greens. I'll be back again!
Lots of water, so bring out the grade B balls, I lost 4
Fairly wide fairways but ots of water, so bring out the grade B balls, I lost 4 on the front nine, Stayed dry on the back. True greens. A fun day and a Good deal from golfNow.com
Good value for a seasoned course.
Fun day with beautiful views of the sound. Challenging holes with plenty of water. I only got wet once!!!
UNder going management change
wide open fairways ,course in great condition for this time of year
Going through financial issues
We pla.yed Tiger Point in November 2012 and found the course to be a bit lacking in maintenance, particularly on the tee boxes. This is a links course and somewhat challenging with the water features and bunkers. You can't see the gulf while playing, although 14 holes have water on them. The price was resonable only because of the discount on Golfnow. The pro shop is empty due to the financial troubles. If the proposal that the city buys the course, it might be in better shape soon, both with the course and the pro shop. The restaurant/bar is very nice and the staff very friendly
