Seaview - The Pines Course
About
The lesser known of the two 18-hole courses at the Seaview is the Pines Course. It originally started as a nine-hole course but another nine-hole course was added later and the two courses were eventually combined to form the Pines Course. The course has a par of 71 and it is 6,731 yards from the back tees.
Seaview's Pine Course doesn't provide scenic views but it does offer a good game. Some even prefer the Pines course because of its quiet location behind the resort's hotel and also because of its more challenging features. The golf course has tight fairways lined with trees, medium-sized greens that are undulating, and strategically placed bunkers.

An osprey on the course Photo submitted by Joefie on 02/15/2013
Did you let the Pines course conditions turn into Ocean Acres?
You need to improve the cart paths and rough holes /areas.
Bunkers still weedy and lacking sand
Great course, except for the bunkers full of weeds and dirt. Shame, just a little effort could make a big difference.
Fun
Very nic ol course in great condition. Will play again in Fall.
Course has gone downhill
For the premium they charge for this course is poorly maintained. Greens and fairways were in good condition but good luck if your ball doesn’t land on the fairway the ruff is very poorly maintains and we lost a ton of balls that were just off the fairway. Bunkers also need some serious work. Overall a decent course but not for the price they charge.
Bunkers = rocks, weeds, little sand
As other reviews have noted, the bunkers situation really detracts from the overall enjoyment of this course. I golfed with 3 friends who were down for the weekend, all made comments on the rocks, weeds, and limited sand in the bunkers. It's unfortunate, as otherwise it's a nice course.
Nice golf course with mixed feeling
Nice course with some challenging holes.
Mixed feeling about staff friendlyness. You are pressured to tip every staff.member.
Not enough parking space near the golf course and the practice range is too far away.. Over charging range balls($8 for 30 balls) and $30 for golf gloves.
Pines good, Bay ugh no good
I played both the Bay and the Pines courses. The Pines was for me, the best of the two.. The fairways and greens were in great condition despite hot weather. Stay in the short grass or your scores will suffer. Plenty of room off the T. This course has passed the test of time.
Now Seaview Bay Course, ugh where to start. First regardless of Deep Woods insect repellent we were devastated by the aggressive green heads an it spoiled the round. Cart paths are suppose to be crushed clam shells, thy are horrible to navigate full of deep pot holes and if it isn’t tied down it’s going to be ejected, poor maintenance. Greens slow and bumpy. Do the Pines, the Bay needs attention desperately.
Sand bunkers were terrible, otherwise nice course
The sand bunkers need to be addressed. Barely any sand in most, principally dirt it seemed. And many bunkers had weeds growing throughout. It’s really unfortunate, as the greens and fairways were in great shape. Tee boxes showed a lot of wear without much appearance grass was planted to grow back in the many divots, which is maybe understandable as the course has a lot of traffic.
Overall it’s a shame as this course could be great. Weeds in bunkers, and more sand, seem easily remedied.
Great course, sand bunkers need to be improved
I really like this course. Fairways and greens were in great shape, the tee boxes showed some wear as expected. The sand bunkers, however, really need some attention. Way too many small pebbles and rocks, some weeds in several bunkers (!!!), and frankly not much sand.
Pace of play was great, and we were able to drive carts on the fairways even though it had rained for several hours just prior to our round.
We played the Bay course the prior day. More expensive, challenging links-style course, but the biting green-head flies were BRUTAL. Even with 40% DEET we were attacked all day. It was hard to focus on golf with flies landing on you. They would attack your cart as soon as you stopped moving. None of our foursome ever wants to go back to the Bay course.
Better than the Bay on a hot day !
Plenty of shade and no bugs on the Pines. Overall the course was in good shape with the greens in great shape but putting a bit on the slow side. Opening holes on the front nine were in great shape . The rough on a few holes was somewhat inconsistent as well as the cart paths could use some work. All in all the Pines is a very traditional course cut out of a pine tree forest .What you see is what you get with doglegs left and right and interesting par fives and a few blind shots. It’s fun to play and the hospitality on the course and food and drink after was worth the trip.
First time playing
Greens and fairways were in great shape! Bunkers and rough needs little work . But all and all enjoyed the course
Beautiful course
From start to finish beautiful course guy that drove us to the driving range was awesome first time playing here and gave me the run down for everything 10/10
Overrated
Super slow greens. Sand traps on a holiday. Were not touched. Water in some. Unraked. Terrible. Over priced. Historical but overrated!
