The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks
About
The Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks is touted as the best mountain golf course in Colorado and even one of the best courses in the country. Towering forests of pine and aspen frame the rolling fairways and manicured greens on this scenic layout. The crystal clear creeks and trout-filled lakes are a striking contrast to the lush green of the course and the snow-capped peaks in the distance. The golf course is known for more than its scenery though, its challenging design is a test for all skill levels. The steep-faced bunkers have deeply furrowed edges, which can be tricky but they also serve to contain tee shots that might have an increased carry because of the course's dramatic elevations. There are also water hazards to contend with on several holes.

Good course but not great
Front nine is ok. Back nine is very nice
Would like to play again during summer time but don't know if $140 per round can be justified
Fabulous course in this time of year
This is one of the best mountain courses I've played. Be sure to visit around the 20th of September for great color. Course conditions always seem to be excellent here. Use Golfnow for better fees.
quote the raven
The view from the elevated tee boxes alone is worth the price. Forgiving fairways and challenging greens. I would play this course everyday if I lived there.
Great for the tourists
The staff is very accomodating and the facility is beautiful. I found some of the holes on the back nine where there was a creek to cross difficult for an average woman golfer. The scenery was outstanding especially where there were elevated tee boxes. Will definitely play it again.
Golf fun with new friends
My daughter and I had a wonderful, enjoyable round, friendly young golfers who knew the game well. The banter was free flowing. The course presented its usual challenge – it’s a fair but demanding test requiring shots with a variety of lies and shapes – uphill, downhill, sidehill – using most of the clubs in the bag from the silver tees. The greens held well and were true to putt, although a bit tricky to read. Even though the temperature didn’t get much above 60 ͦ, the conditions were comfortable enough for short sleeves. We had a delightful time.
Challenging Course in great condition
We got a great rate using GolfNow. If you pay "normal" prices it is expensive, even for a mountain course but, it is worth playing. Pace of play seemed slow. The course was in excellent condition.
Awesome elevation changes
Take a camera, you want believe the elevation changes at the 8th and 9th holes! The whole course is in great shape and a treat to play. This course has some of the hardest greens to read I have ever played and I have played a lot of golf. Its a fun course just don't expect to set any course records but do enjoy the views!
A real test of golf in an awsome environment.
This course is spectacular, but don't get distracted by the views. You'll have to concentrate on shaping shots both ways to find the best landing areas(although generous) from which to approach the greens. Also you get the fun of club selection on a 75' drop par three just before a 200' drop 500 yard par 4. Awesome.
great mtn course
Played on a busy Saturday great services and conditions this course has challenging slopes and hazards bUt is fair to the accurate player. Staff was amazing with customer service.
Beautiful mountain golf
Excellent course for the money and the views are pretty spectacular.
Most scenic course played in the mountains
Enjoy the rugged beauty and forget about your score
Great course but...
I love this course. Some of the best views you'll ever see on a Colorado golf course. Wildlife too. I saw a fox and a couple of deer along the way. However, I teed off in the afternoon and the pace of play was excruciatingly slow. I waited on every single shot and on a couple of occasions there were three groups on the same tee box. Clearly, a marshal was needed as two inexperienced twosomes ahead of us were allowed to play separately and they held up everyone. The wind picked up at the end of the round and some people dropped out allowing me to finish the 18 just as it was getting dark but I was disappointed that so many golfers were on the course at the same time and a marshal never helped usher folks along. Would love to play the course again but only if I was assured that the pace of play was going to be better.
Highly over rated
The day started out by the staff loosing our clubs making us late for our tee time with no warm up, not even an apology. NO CLASS. Course layout was good and the views were typical mountain course. The fairways were not filled in and made for dirt lies in many places, the greens were very slow and bumpy, something you would expect from a low cost muni. course. We only played 9 holes due to a large thunderstorm, they did give us a nine hole rain check. For about the same price you could play Keystone or Breckenridge and have a much better experience. Or heck play the Denver metro courses for have the price and get the same conditions.
Really cool course, must play.
The back 9 is more fun than the front. But the front is good too.
Beautiful views and terrain!
We really enjoyed it. Always love to see the Osprey and their nest. We enjoyed it and had a lot of fun. Staff was very nice and helpful.
Challenging Mountain Course with some stunning views
We tied off at noon and found the tee boxes in uniformly good condition, fairways mostly firm but did not see many dry patches. Greens at this elevation (+9000 ft) can be a challenge to maintain, but they ran true with few bare spots. There is a lot of sand on the holes and some pretty steep elevations but that enhances the views and the challenge. There is evidence of some deferred maintenance as others commented but it was not an obstacle. I would recommend the course if you want to play in the mountains.
Breathtaking
Unreal value via Golfnow. One of the more beautiful pieces of property in the greater Breck area. A few greens are a little chewed up but the layout / fairways / design are fantastic. Highly recommend.
Nice experience
Challenging very hilly course. You have to ride as the course is hilly and long. In good condition and the staff is very accomodating. Rained on the first nine but it cleared up. I would recommend this course.
Great course going downhill fast
I live on the course and after playing yesterday it is obvious they are not watering. you need a hammer to get your tee in the ground on most holes. Very dry and hard. Also cart path is still damaged on the back nine. Been this way for two years running. No improvements being done. It is a shame because the course layout is great. Something is going on that is not good. Course condition is no better than a Denver municiple course in August. Would not pay more than $50 to play.
A great Colorado Mountain afternoon
No matter which of your "inner" golfers decides to join you when you play, just being on that beautiful course with its wonderful vistas is an afternoon you won't forget. A great way to spend a Colorado mountian afternoon. Got our T-time just 2 hours before playing and our 4some is glad it did!
