Tain
The first couple of hole were not in the best condition but once you complete them you see how good the course really is. At time of playing there was quite a bit of improvement work going on but this did not detract from the overall enjoyment..
Staff were helpful and friendly
Will certainly play here again.
Really enjoyed playing Tain
I went round Tain later in the afternoon. I was by myself and the course was quiet. The professional was very friendly and spent considerable time giving me a good rundown of the course before I started which was great. The course was in very good condition, just a touch of surface water since it had rained heavily overnight the night before but it didn't affect play really. The greens were smooth and moderately fast. Undulations on the fairways and bunkering around the greens made it a great links style layout. I thoroughly enjoyed my round and would dearly like to get another opportunity to play the course.
Tain Golf Course...
Fantastic course....a real gem!
If you are looking for stunning views and great course
book up...
Nice course with few bunkers but challenging rough
Played for second time, enjoyed it more this time, as I understood the layout. Course had suffered from lack of rain, like many have. But the ball will run longer!
Stewart in the pro shop was excellent, as last time. He helpfully pointed out dog legs and marker posts on the card.
Although it’s a Tom Morris designed links, you didn’t see the sea much. Met some friendly members too
Greens were very good, don’t know about bunkers, as I was not in one!
The course has a great layout. Club professional was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Tain Golf Club to friends and family, look forward to returning and playing again.
First time at Tain golf club
Course was playing hard to rock hard conditions but totally understandable with hot dry weather. Starter in pro shop was very informative and friendly too.
Very underrated
First time playing the course, excellent fairways, greens, very enjoyable round,
Challenging Course
Hard Links course to play. Easy to loose your ball in the Rough. Blind Shots, but fun to play.
Nice course
Nice course , not really Links, more farmland setting but the fairways had undulations like Links. You can see the water, just does not feel like your playing along side it much.
Professional was very friendly and helpful , well equipped shop.
Good variety of holes, although I felt the short holes were all in the last 3 holes.
Tees well set up, pin finder on the scorecard, which more clubs should have.
I would go back
Well worth a look
Booked a tee off on my own and ended yp going round with 2 locals. Only been playing for 12 months but really enjoyed it . Enough variety in the hole to make it interesting and challenging. Will be going back
Tain golf club
Excellent course. Very good condition for the time of year. Would definitely recommend playing it.
Only slight criticism I would have is that the practice was a little disappointing.
Excellent
Course was in great condition even after some fairly average weather
Everyone really friendly
Some great holes
Brilliant!
Course was fantastic, staff couldn't do enough and members we spoke to were really friendly. Would definitely recommend to any one in the area
Excellent - Very professional and very friendly!
Visited Tain on August 12th, great golf course made special by the attention to detail of the Golf Pro Stuart Morrison.
The 19th hole is more than welcoming.
Pay a visit, you won't be disappointed!
This course had a variety of challenges.
Had a wonderful round of golf on Tain.
Can’t wait to play it again in the near future.
