Great course, sometimes they over book and it can turn into a long round. Besides that i love playing this course!
Slow but fun
Was able to book a last minute tee time (8:30pm on Saturday night) for 8:20am Sunday. That was good. The course was in good overall condition. Greens were quite bumpy and a little slow, bunkers were a little firm, and pace was just under 5 hours. But, that's normal when the course packs em in like sardines. A fun course with character.
wide open fairways
great course if you're golfing with a group of amateurs. wide open fairways with limited OB areas makes for an enjoyable round. there are at least 4 holes with some cool elevation changes, which add to the course's cool factor. overall a nice option on a weekend.

Nice course an well laid out , greens were in good shape along with the fairways. Very slow play need more than one marshal...!
I won't be going back to La Mirada.
The staff was nice but they run things there very slow.I had a 12:12 tee time and didn't end up getting a cart until around 12:40.We didn't end up teeing off until close to 1 pm.We barely we're able to finish due to the back up.I was upset that I spent 40 + for a bad golf experience.We waited at every tee box for at least 20 minutes.The course should lower there rates considering the course conditions and the lack of carts. I've spent less money to play way better course before.I don't think I will be going back again and I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone to this course.
Very poor greens to much water been used in the wrong places.
First of all the tee boxes are terrible, can't tell where they start nor ends. The fairways are like desert in some places while others are soaked with mudd like conditions and there's no ruffs. Finally, the greens are unputtable , it's so soft and bumpy you could see all the foot prints from earlier golfers and not a smooth surface anywhere. It's not worth playing for free!!!

Need attention on the green,
Lots of players dont fix their devot. Some of the fairway are dry and no grass.
Never again
I've played this course a few times over the past year. Never again. It took well over 5 hrs to play because of the inattentiveness of the staff. After calling the Pro-shop to let them know that the group in front of us was playing very very slow, we expected the marshal to come out. Nothing. We called back, and the attendants response was "what do you want me to do" I paid full price for something I wouldn't have paid 10 dollars for. Never again.
Too slow
I had tea time at 3 48 pm but the time I tee off was 4 20
They add too many walk in without reservation between the
tea times Therefore it was so slow that every hole takes almost
25 mins It is terrible
Fun course, busy and no marshal
Had a wait on every tee, two groups deep on the back and didn't see the marshal once. Other than the 5+ hour round the course is great.

Very fun challenging course!
The only downfall is the crowding at this course. Expect to wait, so be prepared to be patient. We started at 4:15 and could not finish before nightfall. If you want to play the full 18, tee off by 3:30 in the summer.
The greens were in very good condition but the fairways were pretty dry
The course has a nice layout but la mirada should not put fivesomes on the course it slows play down dramatically. Also la mirada needs to install an ATM in the pro shop since the starter will not give you cash back. Other than that I enjoyed the day.
It's All About The Cash
Please do not play this course. All the staff wants to do is cram as many golfers at one time on their course. We had the 2:00pm tee-time,and the 4 groups in front of us were made into 5 somes. So what do you think happened to us yes we were also made a 5 some. There was only 1 marshall and he didn't care either about the pace of play. All this place wants to do is charge an outrageous green fee to as many golfers it can fit on their course never again
Great experience
First time playing here. After reading the reviews, I was afraid when a walking fivesome teed off before us. Surprisingly they were quick. Pace of play was good and the course was fun!

Had a ok time playing. course was not to bad but the waiting was terrible. Took 5 hrs To finish terrible for momentum.

I played this course again and for the third time it was incredibly slow! I tried a morning start to see if it would make a difference and it was worse than ever. It took us 6 hours to finish!!! Our tee time was at 9am and they kept overcrowding putting 5 somes together so we didn't tee off until after 9:30. Like the others posting comments, I will not play this course anymore, it's just not worth it. They need to get some marshall's out here to regulate! It's a pity because it really is a very nice course to play when your not waiting for 20 mins at every hole!
