Walking
I surprised myself and everyone else because I usually have to ride since my 2 knees were replaced. There were no carts since the course is being prepared for the spring.
That was not going to stop me from trying to walk and pull my clubs. Way back about 2008 I used to walk.
I made it! Did not play badly for an 89-year-old.

Pre-rain play
Managed to get in 9 holes before the rain. Unfortunately, it was also before the grounds crew started clearing the leaves off the greens. Overall it was still a better than average day.

Went to a rival 9 hole course in Rockland and place was a mess with leaves! Mosholu is immaculate. You guys do a great job in the fall and are to be commended. Keep up the good work

Don’t plan on playing 18
The course condition is really good. The pace of play is fair. It’s a great practice course.
My huge issue with this course is that they always rent out random time blocks to a youth program which if you want to play 18 holes, it’s a gamble. This has happened numerous times to me already. There was 15 min before the youth program teed off and the staff literally told me “you can’t play in front of the kids bc they’ll get intimidated” i thought he was joking but he wasn’t. How soft are we raising our kids.

Great conditions, a fun and varied 9 hole layout.
Not too long, lightly bunkered, trees often in play.
