Great Place to play
We played as a family, my 2 junior daughters and I. Pace was frustrating but the course is in great shape for the mileage it sees.
Always a good round
Nice course, challenging but also forgiving.
Perfect way to spend a few hours at a great rate.
Will be back!
Maintenance is Slipping
Traps need to be turned over! Roughs need to be trimmed! Hope you guys aren’t getting lazy!
Excellent Course
I only gave 4 stars for the pace of play to detract those in a rush to play this course. It's a family course that is ideal for beginners. Also, the kids that play are usually slower, but they are working on what they are learning. Seniors love the course as well because 18 is a bitmuch for them. So, slow down and enjoy the game. My wife and I play here all year long and usually play once or twice a week here. The place us a home run.
9 hole heaven
Great 9 hole course. Perfect for a quick 2 hour game. Love the layout and staff are great. Only issue I had was it was infested with biting flies yuck. Hopefully it’s a seasonal thing but bring long sleeves and pants just in case. Bring extra balls because it’s very easy to lose balls here. I’d def play here again!
Worth Checking Out
Mosholu is comfort food for me. It's nine holes, so I walk it. I never have a problem booking a time slot, even on the night before. Then again, I am retired so I never play weekends, when the place could get jammed up. The course has water dispensers at the fourth and eighth tees, but other than that there are few amenities. such as a snack bar and a pro shop. There are, however, vending machines for candy and soft drinks. The driving range is limited to First Tee students. It's about 150 yards to the far net, so you would be pounding it with your irons anyway. The students are from primary and middle schools, and they tend to slow things down, but not much. From the tee box, two of the fairways become blind beyond the middle, so don't go launching any missiles until you've checked ahead to see that the kids won't get shelled. The staff is courteous and friendly, and the course is always in tip-top shape. I return again and again. If you regularly quit after 12 or 15 holes, you can play here and leave the game wanting more.
Whatta place
Great 9-hole course. In such better shape than other munis in the city. Great tee boxes, great greens. Truly a joy to play. Hats off to the great grounds keepers.
Wish there were more food and Bev options to take large format drinks. Perhaps a beer or two. But overall, I have no real complaints. Truly a gem.
