Moronic Starter with Vespa
Good Morning….. crickets
How are you today? - crickets
I’m here to check in and a little early, maybe if you have a no-show you can get me out earlier- please.
= dirty look. finally I’m figuring out how to make solid contact with my 2iron. It’s not the first time with this POS. I watched him yell at someone for playing the blue tees. The guy shot in the high 70’s
after a poor first shot. All the other starters are fine gentlemen. It’s the little things that ruin a much needed zen like round of golf. The course could use a ranger to keep slow groups in position, but first, deal with this moron. PLEASE! outside of the 16th green being damaged by the heavy rains, the course is in great shape and the crew should be commended for a great season!!!!
First Time - Enjoyable
For the lack of rain in the area, the course was in, what I thought, good shape. Although on the front nine there was goose crap on each hole. Pace of play was as expected for a NYC muni. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Pre game stretch
Marine park now offer a new service which I highly recommended. It’s a pre game stretching workout. This is done by Toni Ann who is a certified physical therapist and Pilate instructor. She showed me some basic stretching exercises which I feel was helpful. I didn’t have any lower back pain after round which I usually have. Thank you Toni!
Love this place
I enjoy playing at this city course. The course is a bit dry and needs some maintenance but otherwise excellent.
Rained out
The course was in good shape, after the Brooklyn open. The wind picked up on the back nine, then rained, so I left after twelve holes
Great course
The course is great, well maintained and it’s not hard to walk around. Staff are friendly convenient parking.
A little weather beaten on fairways but heeens in great shape
You won’t find a better value in NYC
Compared to all the courses in the boroughs this is hands down the best. If you live in the city and go anywhere else you’ve made a mistake.
Great Course
The course is in good shape considering the dry conditions around the region. The tee boxes and greens were in great shape. We have a great round.
Jml in Brooklyn
Nice course, challenging greens. Windy conditions add to the course difficulty. Fairways and rough totally burned out. Traps not properly maintained.
Even the power golf carts are in need of repairs.
The cart paths have more holes than Swiss cheese.
Lucky so far
With the exception of the starter who needs a slap for belittling the other guys in my group for playing the back tees, I love this place. Greens in above average shape, as are most tee boxes, sand is in the traps and the pace of play has been consistent.
Fairways are burnt from the lack of rain, but it’s late August and we’ve had a dry summer. People are friendly and for the most part very chill.
The amount of work over the last 15 years is without comparison to the other local dumps.
Maybe a water cooler or two in the middle of each nine would be nice, but you can’t complain when you see what most public course in the area look like.
Very Nice
Excellent warm-up area for putting, chipping, irons.
Quite breezy. Lovely greens. Fairways are baked out. Pace of play good. Nice links feel and not difficult to walk.
