Marine Park Golf Course

Terrific conditions throughout and the staff is continuously working the landscape to improve. This course is the best, affordable, public links course in the City system. It is 4x less expensive than Trump and infinitely better for ALL skilled golfers.

Scary thought, reading this might make my making a tee time more dufficult?

Marine park is in excellent playing condition. The greens are in great shape and pin placements are challenging, but fun.

Terrific conditions. Difficult pin placements, challenging positional approach shots required. Tall fescue can cause lost ball issues but otherwise extremel fair. Great course in almost prime shape with continuing sculpting of the fairway borders and tee boxes on some holes.

Marine Park is in great shape, especially compared to other NYC public courses. Fairways are green and lush, greens are rolling true, and the range of efforts aimed at further enhancing the course are apparent. The installation of new tee boxes and fairway bunkers on the par-5 14th are coming along nicely.

I was on time for my tee time and the starter thought it was ok to say “Your Pappy should have taught you to be 30 minutes early for your tee time.” I personally don’t know the starter nor did I feel what he said was appropriate to anyone no matter what his reasoning is. I hope that in the future if I ever return to this golf course that he has been disciplined or is no longer working there. I believe everyone pays money to enjoy a round of golf and it should not start that way especially if you are already on time for your tee time. There is no need to mention anyone’s family or parents in this case as some folks are not fortunate to have their parents in their lives always. His phrase was unacceptable and he should know that. The course management staff needs to step in immediately.

By far the best NYC public course. Others not even close to Marine Park. Driving range, layout, conditions, bar etc. All are top of the NYC totem pole. Not the nicest course in the world. but by far the nicest public in NYC. Wind can make it challenging. Back nine is a little more tucked away and calmer.

Amazing course, good layout, rough not too thick and windy! Pin placements in some holes were close to unplayable downwind but that made the experience more entertaining.

The weather was fine when we started playing, but on the 12th hole, it started pouring buckets. Before we could reach a shelter we were really soaked to our underwear.

Wishing there were more shades/shelters strategically placed on the golf course.

Probably the best public course in NYC. Great facilities too.

Course was very wet due to rains the night before. Pace of play was good considering the East course was under construction. With all that said it was very pleasant day on the course
