Beautiful long distance views from much of the course. Photo submitted by TatayG on 05/09/2018
Love Mill Creek
I really like this course. The greens were true as always. The layout is great and for the money you cannot beat it
Fair play
Long game tested to the max.Very pleasant layout Tricky greens but big targets rewarding good Iron play.Well worth the visit
Overall not too bad
I had a really fun time playing at mill Creek for the first time. The course is pretty well kept and is a nice challenge for all golfers. Overall I give this course a 4 star review. My main reasons were pace of play SUCKED. I had to wait a couple minutes every shot because of so many groups of 3 and 4 taking forever. It wasn't possible to play through as a single since there was just so many big groups ahead of me, so it made for a very long 18 holes of almost 5 hours with a cart. The cart paths were also in pretty rough shape, half the time I would just drive on the grass cause of how bad they were. A couple of the tee boxes were extremely rock solid and that was even with the light rain the course received while I was there. Overall this course was fun to play and was a nice challenge and a nice price, but really that lace of play was a killer.
Fast round
The course was not very busy so we moved right along and finished in three hours. I hadn’t played the course in a few weeks and noticed the quickness of the greens which made it a challenge to figure out the speed especially on downhill putts. The heather is getting quite long which made some shots quite the challenge. Bottom line - keep it in the short grass.
Rough Ride
coarse is okay, but cart paths are in terrible shape. Please put some effort into them.
Great test of golf
Love mill creek, greens are fast, course is fair and a great lay out, the heather can eat your golf balls if your tee shots are way ward.
Wet conditions
It was a slower round due to being cart path only after last week’s heavy rain. I think that I only hit half of my tee shots close to the cart path so I did get lots of walking in. The big issue with course conditions is with the sand traps since many were washed out and the remaining sand was like concrete which made those shots a real challenge. I hope that there’s sand around to refill the traps.
Great value
A little sketchy on some of the cart paths. Other than that a great place
Becoming one of my favorite courses to play in the area
Course was drier than expected given the wet spring
It was a beautiful day for my 1st round of the year. The weather had not been cooperative for my schedule and I expected wetter conditions. Only 2 holes (11 & 18) were cart path only and I could understand why. The rest of the course was nice. The greens were pretty firm and a bit bumpy but expect that they will smooth out as the season goes along.
It's Spring
Mill Creek is my favorite course in Monroe County. Three stars on course conditions is outside their control as I understand cart path only is a necessity for the health of the course this time of year, but it's hard on an old guy. And I understand greens have to be dressed, but they're not fun to putt. With all that said, the course is still a jewel that demands all the shots in your bag, and the beautiful vistas are a bonus.
slow play
Play was extremely slow. Had to leave after 9 holes. Not sure if I'll return to play. Which is unfortunate because i enjoy the coarse. And have played it often
