The Dunes At Maui Lani Golf Course

Staff was friendly, we expected to have lunch and a beer afterwards…surprised the restaurant was closed…no beer cart ; (

Course in good condition. Would have liked to know greens punched and sanded recently. Greens inconsistent.

This is a really fun course! Elevation changes keep things interesting with high tees and high greens. The course was in pretty good shape. The staff is so friendly and helpful, you can't help but start with a good attitude. Will def put this one as a regular stop whenever we're lucky enough to be in Maui.

Don't come to this course expecting Kapalua or Wailea. I rented clubs and with the rental and round it came in under $100. That is better than I can get at home. It was hot and windy but played fair and the greens were good. Don't agree with the other reviewers saying the greens were not good. Staff were very nice and the clubs were in good condition. I teed off 45 mins early by myself and played the first 12 holes in 1hr 15mins. The next 6 holes took over 2 hours but I still finished under 4. Only saw the cart girl twice which was fine and no alcohol as their restaurant is still closed. In my mind it was worth the money and I will definitely play it again if I come back to Maui.

I called to see if the greens had been recently aerated. Pro shop said about two weeks ago; but healing and playable. They weren’t, and with pace of play was. excruciatingly slow, I quit after 13 holes and almost 4 hours. The course has lost any luster it once had.

Greens had been punched just two weeks earlier so they were still quite bumpy. But that is my only comment on the conditions. Everything else was great.

We had a wonderful time playing there today, although the greens are just been aerated and we’re very slow. Love this course.

The staff inside and out were very friendly, but the starter stayed by the buildings and send you down, singles were let out when could have teamed up easily… but the speed of play was great. The greens were just plugged and sand dressed which made them very slow and bouncy… many 3 puts… there was no cart service and understand they don’t have a liquor licence due to the restaurant being closed. So no cold beer if you wanted any. There were a few holes that were blind shots and hidden hazards that we found… (read the pamphlet) the wind was blowing constantly and made it even more difficult and a local golfer told me it blows all the time… I understand the area got hit hard due to COVID and tourists weren’t coming,The course is making a come back after many cost were cut to try and stay afloat. But value for the $ was good…

The course is another local hiddem Maui gem golf course. The course has mostly open and expansive fairways but with lots of elevation changes Many of the greens are very well protected with deep sandy bunkers...they will get you eventually but the views from tee boxes and greens are fabulous so it is well wotrh the risk.The greens were in very good shape but in true Maui fashion reading them was a challenge and made for an interesting day of golf. Given the course layout and the contiour of the course I would not recommend walking...a cart is a must for most.

Course is well taken care of. A lot of elevated tees and greens. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Must play if you’re in Maui!

Staff was very friendly.....course was in great condition, especially the greens. Some interesting holes....used almost every club in the bag. Surprised by the elevation change on a couple of the holes. Course is going to be hosting the Maui open in august and will definitely will come back on my next visit to Maui.

Never a flat lie. Tough golf course but I like the variety..
