Pine Ridge Golf Club
About
Pine Ridge Golf Club was carved from pine forests in central Long Island. Located in Coram, the course's player-friendly layout is a popular choice for all skill levels. The narrow, tree-lined fairways demand accuracy and the greens are fast and can be hard to read but it's not an overly punishing golf course for high handicappers. The risk-reward opportunities will test your course management and strategic thinking skills. If played smartly, you could find yourself with a birdie, particularly on the two driveable par 4s on the front nine. Several bunkers lurk throughout and water comes into play occasionally as well. You'll also face several sharp doglegs, both left and right. In addition to the golf course, Pine Ridge also offers a practice facility that includes a driving range, putting green, and a large grass teeing area.

Nice course, great greens!
The course has an interesting layout with plenty of risk | reward opportunities for big hitters. The greens are always in great shape and often have some complexity to them. Challenging course from the tips even for scratch golfers
course in great shape
challenging holes where shots have to be placed to score ,some dry areas ,only beginning of summer. greens excellent
Nice course with no crowd
Played on a Tuesday afternoon and the place was wide open.
the course was in great shape
love and challenging
not for long hitters
uses a whole different set of skills
could improve their food . selection was not good
no breakfast and lunch was boring
next time will bring food but for the cost of the round i would have thought something would have been available
Five and a half hours
With a tee time between 1 and 2 PM we had to wait quite long to get our cart. Then the cart died on the 9th hole due to low battery. The course is a great lay out, but being out on this course late in the day, I had to wonder doesn't anyone fix a divot on the green or fill in the divots on the fairway? The weather was fine, and the course paired us with another great two-some. So I will play this course again, but not on a weekend. I want to play after the greens have been rolled. The quick greens with the divots made putting tough.
Enjoyable course in mid LI
For the mid island public courses I would rate this experience as one of the best. Course is forgiving. Huge well maintained greens. Will definitely repeat.
Just improve the pace of play...please
Second trip to the course, first time tee'd off late, so it was a quick round. Today Was mid morning and the round was 5 hours.
Groups should try to play quick ball, the group in front of us kept hitting balls out of bounds and playing provisional after provisional.
Course - conditions were pretty good i thought and required some accurate shot making with narrow fairways and large greens that featured slopes and multiple tiers.
Rangers, can you please ask groups to maintain pace.
Great Day
Previous play at this course was VERY long, but yesterday, there was no wait and no backups! We teed off at 10:45 and were back in our car by 3:10!
Course was is good shape ... greens were true and somewhat fast (due to bright sun and dry weather). Course fairways were fresh and the rough was thick.
Challenging course for newbies like myself but there were enough rewards to make the day enjoyable!
Course is generally a little expensive so we took advantage of a GolfNow special which made it worthwhile.
Great course
Great staff along with great course conditions , would reco this course to anyone
Nice day out
Great Staff , very friendly and helpful
Nice course , good condition
Great Course
Thank you! I had a wonderful time. I will be back soon!! keep up the great work.
Not advised the course was aerated.
I've played the course before and it is always a good challenging course, combining course management with length. I was very disappointed not being told the course was aerated and very poorly overdressed. The aeration holes were like putting on a peg board.
Will definitely play again
First time playing this course. The entire staff was friendly and helpful, from the kid in the pro shop to the guy with the carts. The starter was very good and the ranger was a nice guy. Couldn't ask for more in that aspect. Fairways were beautiful. Greens were being aerrated but they were still able to putt on. All in all a very good experience. Going to go back once the greens are complete.
Horrible experince
Carts were slow and had no brakes
Teeboxs had hig grass
Fairways were destroyed if you hit on the fairway it was in a divet or some sand hole
Sand traps were just areas that grass was ripped up off
Round was long, un pleasent and i would tell anyone to spend there money else whete
windy day and greens recently aerated
course layout is good. hole configuration was fair. wish I would have known about greens being recently aerated. putting was a waste of time. otherwise, will try course again as I liked the features of the course.
Good track and reasonable rates
This is a fun golf course and for a 14 handicap challenging enough. That being said I feel it is the courses duty to tell you that the greens have been punched and are not rolling properly. You charged a full rate for the course when only 2/3 of the course was in play. The staff is always of good cheer and the lounge is a friendly place for food and drink. I will definitely play it again when the greens have healed and the course i9s up to snuff.I placed an overall rating at average and will upgrade that when the greens are fixed to a good overall rating.
This course has great shape.
It was a great monent to play with family. It was very narrow fairway and had to stay on the fairway to keep good score. If my shot was hooked or sliced, I didn't get good score. Here is tip for you. If you want to play this course, you have to stay fairway and to hit long dive shot. Good luck!
Very friendly staff, nice course to play
Staff was extremely friendly & helpful.
We played in Mid November so they were a lot of leaves which made it hard to locate the ball. I think that they could have been more diligent in their efforts to remove a lot of the leaves in order for us to play more enjoyably. Course is a bit narrow on some holes. Greens were very fast and difficult to read. The club house , bar and restaurant looks like it is a great place to eat & relax during the season.
