Short but challenging!
I was pleasantly surprised at the wonderful condition of the course. The tee boxes are soft enough to get your tee in. This time of year they can be very hard. The fairways were clean and closely mowed. The rough is high., but at least it keeps your ball from rolling too much. When playing this course for the first time, I would suggest bringing some extra balls! The greens were neat. This is a short (no par 5s) but challenging course. Very hilly. Lots of elevations and slopes. The trees all around make you feel like you’re upstate. The only disruption are the planes flying overhead into LaGuardia airport. But if you live in the area, you’re already used to that noise. I would highly recommend this gem in Queens, NY

Course in terrific shape
Someday need to fix the cart paths
Rude and unprofessional staff
Took my wife and two young kids to play as it’s a short course. We arrived 40 min early for our 6:30 tee time and waited and waited. Long story short, the lazy staff didn’t get ready til after 6:20 and made us late yet the starter not only gave me an attitude in front of my kids but afterwards made up a garbage story that kids are not allowed on weekends but that he told the pro shop to let them play. I know there’s no kids rate on weekends but neither is there a senior rate. So then by that logic seniors aren’t allowed on weekends either? Garbage of a course, staff and experience. Never again.
Slow pace of play!
Super slow pace of play this day… Didn’t even get to finish my round …

Par 64, short, no par 5s, most of the 4s are short. Grass very high until you reach the fairway. I generally play this course when there is no room on other local courses
Rock Solid
Underrated and harder than the slope suggests. Great pace of play if you go on weekday afternoon or before 9am on the weekend. Strategy is key as the course is narrow and the second cut is thick. Learn to hit your long irons and fairway woods off the tee. Greens are somewhat slow but in good shape. Darren the chef is a good cook and all of the starters and front staff is are personable.
