Auchterarder Golf Club

Played on a Friday afternoon. The welcome was friendly & the course, which was in excellent condition, a gem. We played the first 6-holes at a good pace but from there on waited & waited & waited. Three groups on tee after tee was not unusual. These things happen but given the Club was pleased to take our money the lack of Club visibility on the course (e.g. a Marshall) was disappointing. Whilst Green Fee payers offer the Club useful financial support, Auchterarder did not provide a good experience in return. If you are looking for a course, which offers a reasonable pace of play, perhaps better to look elsewhere.

Played on a Saturday, should have been paired with two randomers but the club pro slit us to let me play without then. Brilliant service and a really stunning course

Very enjoyable round of golf, greens are smooth run well! Practice facilities are good before play. Pro was very welcoming and explained the course well.

Shame that there is tee mats on some par 4,s. Golfer’s can’t remove there broken tee’s at 13 and a shocking winter mat compared to the rest we had played on, this left me and my playing partner with problems off the tee that we could not use driver as the tee hole was blocked full of broken tee’s and that the pair of us don’t have a driving iron to hit off the mat without a tee.

Apart from the winter mats on some par 4 tees, it was very enjoyable. Just a shame that there was two winter greens with no white marking that it was a winter greens. 17 had one marked out but the pin was further over on the approach to the main green.

We will be back throughout the season.

Played Auchterarder on 2 March 2023 having previously played it in the summer of 2021. For the time of year the course was in great condition and I'll be back in the summer.

Winter round but Course is in splendid condition.

Arrived early and a good welcome in the pro shop and a very good breakfast in the clubhouse.

Weather was dry but Course was still quiet.

was in a great condition, especially after the rain2 days before, the holes tested you in different ways and it was a challenging but a lovely old course, would recommend for anyone play.

Not the Clubs fault but a warden would have been busy! Can’t understand why 4-balls won’t let solo players through. They clearly have no idea. 15minutes to play a 110yard par 3 they searched for a shanked ball completely aware that I was on the tee. Plumb-lining putts, range finding second shots after 60 yard ‘drives’, it was tortuous to watch! The players behind caught me so I couldn’t play about on the green waiting for these guys to get away on the next hole. 2 hours 15 min to play 8 holes! I asked them if I could pass, they consulted each other! Saying that it was all 4balls, aye, 4 holes clear in front of them. Eventually I caught a 3 ball who invited me to join. The contrast in attitude was stark! An enjoyable back 9 in fine company.

Again, not Auchterarders fault but a reminder to 4 balls that they should stand aside if pressed by a solo when there’s gaps in front of them. The course, as always, is a joy. I’ll be back, but perhaps not as polite for half the round!

Faultless day, course layout, pace of play, fairways excellent and greens true.

Members friendly on course and also in clubhouse and pro very helpful.

Genuinely can't wait to return

The course was in fabulous condition from the tees all the way to the greens.

Played for the first time with my 2 sons. Course was in immaculate condition and the greens were some of the fastest I have experienced. Whilst not overly long a great challenge. Staff were very friendly including the catering staff we met whilst having a bite to eat after the round. Will definitely be back and will also be spreading the word to my golfing friends of this hiidden gem of a golf course.

Course was in good condition, nice staff very friendly, members we talked to were very kind and helpful. Course wasn't hard to walk. Very satisfied would definitely play again.

Played this course for about the 3rd time in a year and just love it. Fairways are great, Greens are great. I do love coming back to play here. It's also an affordable course we got a good deal at £20 per head. Highly recommended.
