Rating N/A

The Ferntower Course is the 18-hole championship layout at Crieff Golf Club, which has been voted 29th best golfing facility in the UK by the readers of Golf World magazine. Ferntower is built on gently sloping parkland, with views over the Strathearn Valley that dramatically improve and unfold as the round progresses. With mostly wide fairways and the rough cut short enough to avoid prolonged ball searching, Ferntower appeals to all categories of handicapper. The par-71 golf course starts with a par-3 hole, a change from the norm. Although the opening hole measures 163 yards, it's all uphill, and there are three par 5s, among the remaining holes on the front nine.

Autumn golf

My wife and I enjoyed a round of golf whilst on a visit from overseas. The Scottish weather lived up to its reputation so a wet windy round was endured. Course held up quite well in the circumstances. We were slightly disappointed by the attitude of the starter who was less than customer focussed. That aside a good round was enjoyed.

Very, very nice parkland course

I've been in Scotland for almost a month and decided to play some parkland courses the last few days to get back into the swing for going home. This is a really nice parkland course, challenging, some terrain, well bunkered and in great condition. The par fours average nearly 400 yards with the number one stroke hole (7) over 450 from the white tees. It's a great old course and you'll enjoy it! www.travelingduffer.com

Great course , fantastic condition and great layout

My first time playing Crief Ferntower , heard from others to play it and wasn’t disappointed, course was in great condition , well maintained, greens were terrific and a really good layout - good blend of challenging par 5s and a few par 4s and shot making par 3s, great fun. A wee bit of navigating to find the occasional next tee having not played the course but no issues , clubhouse area out game also immaculate and friendly staff , will definitely be back for another game.

Took the opportunity to add a round at a course we’ve not played.

Course in really great condition, greens true. Few flat lies as you work back and forth up the hillside to the high point. Friendly staff in clubhouse and pro shop. I missed the course stroke chart and as we left after the round I assumed it would be on the website, it isn’t nor on England Golf so phoned pro shop next day and they gave me information.
