Very well looked after course!
Best to play in the summer to get it at its best the greens are superb, overall a very enjoyable but tough course..
Beautiful day, but a little slow
Playing was held up by a 4-ball about 6 holes ahead. Weather was wonderful and course was in great condition, only thing that spoiled the day was speed and the quality of my golf haha
Dunblane
Course was in excellent condition. Semi rough was very forgiving. Contrary to what I was told, the course was not too strenuous on the legs, it was undulating but I have played in steeper climbs.
Great Course!
Great layout and fairways & greens were in excellent condition. Tees were a bit worn but the important bits were in fantastic condition.
Course layout really made you think your way round.
An excellent course to play and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Great for Visitors
A very enjoyable course, in good condition with excellent views. Incredibly friendly welcome from Pro Shop and Restaurant staff.
Lovely course in lovely setting
All the staff, catering and pro-shop, and all the members I spoke to,, were friendly and helpful.. The course was in great condition, particularly so early in the season (the greens were a touch slow). Thoroughly recommended.
Slowest round in the world
First the good bits, the young lad in the pro shop was great and was very informative, also the pro shop was quite well stocked. I had a cup of tea before teeing off and the facilities were really clean and well presented. The serving staff were really nice and were happy to chat , which was very welcoming. The course has some nice holes and is well presented in most areas if a little hilly in parts. The fairways are some of the best I have played on, and the ground staff were very courteous when required to stop or move. The tee boxes for the most part were of a reasonable standard, however I thought the greens were pretty poor, although fast, they were very bobbly, which made holing putts near impossible. It might be I’ve came at the wrong time of the year though and that they are better in the height of summer. To be honest I would have overlooked all the poor points of the course, but you can’t get away from the slow play. This is the slowest I have ever played, I was on my own which made it seem worse. I understand this is not the club’s fault but no one even offered to let me through. Tee off at 11:20 and finished at 15:30 absolutely ridiculous. It truly spoiled what could have been a great day as the weather was brilliant. Unfortunately , its a shame, but I wouldn’t recommend Dunblane on the basis of the time it takes to get round, this course is under 6000 yards.
Dunblane 23/09/24
Friendly Pro Shop, fairways in super condition , greens fast and true though a bit off colour little over 3 hour round following a four ball and food afterwards very good 👍
Dunblane is a good choice
Good course and club, signage on course for visitors can be improved, thanks for letting me play from white tee
Stunning course
Really enjoyed my last visit to this course, couldn't wait to return.
Dunblane
Had the pleasure of playing Dunblane, from my arrival I was very impressed. The staff in the pro shop, bar & the members on the course were very friendly, polite & helpful.
The course condition was fantastic & I compliments to the greenkeepers.
Overall my experience of Dunblane was, it is right up there of my favourite courses I have played & will hopefully be back there very soon.
Perfect
First time me and a friend played this course and couldn't believe how great it was. Booked up on the Sunday thinking it would be busy but we had one group behind us and that was it perfect for me being a beginner so could take my time. Course was perfect all over and the greens are great compared to my local. Will definitely be back.
The driest course I've played in months!
After all the rain we've had recently, I was very pleasantly surprised that the fairways were only on preferred lies, rather than mats. They were very playable too, though the greens were a bit bumpy, particularly later in the round. On the whole though, a very enjoyable round in sunshine for a rare change.
All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful, and the catering was good, with generous portions too.
Thoroughly enjoyed the day - many thanks.
