Braehead braw
Easily located near the foot of the picturesque Ochills. Friendly and extremely helpful club professional. Course challenging and excellent condition for time of year. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and relaxed into the course, played some of my better shots. Looking forward to regular visits.
Superb VFM for such an attractive course.
Lovely mature parkland course in good condition. Greens were especially good and challenging at times. Terrible weather didn’t spoil the round and I’ll be back soon.
First time playing in a long time.
First time I’ve played here in a long time. I understand that the time of year course isn’t up to it’s full potential but when you have winter mats that are soaking wet or even under water, it’s hard to play off. Even the surrounding area was very slippery to get to the mat.
Horrendous greens
Have played this course many times but today is the worse I have ever seen it.. Greens are horrendous would have been better putting on the fairways tee boxes over grown won't be back avoid if playing in Central Region go to Stirling a bit more expensive or Alloa shawpark good value for money.
Course in excellent condition friendly greenkeepers we both enjoyed the day be back
Slow Play
We were only a two ball and teed off at 1 pm after playing 16 holes totally lost the will to live and walked off after nearly 4 hours. We were behind a 3 ball who were in a medal but they were spraying the ball all over the place and taking lots of provisional balls. There was no one in front of them They had plenty of opportunities to let us but there was no way they were going to do that. The field was backing up behind us So would I come back and play again certainly not because if this is the caliber of the clubs members then they do not deserve our custom
Beautiful course
Excellent day in sunshine course looking absolutely magnificent great day had by all will be back
Course good considering amount of rain winter tees and only 12 holes but enjoyed
Lovely course to play with great surrounding views. At this time of year allowances have got to be made for general conditioning in way of preparations for winter play.
Very Very slow pace of play
played on a Friday afternoon with my son pace of play was absolutely terrible waited on every tee up to the 10th. Managed to get through an elderly couple then got stuck behind a group of 4 guys who I think were playing there version of the ryder Cup. The greens had been cored and sanded so putting was a hit or miss don't know what they were doing but they did it very slowly. Had to give up at 13 .we aren't fast players but i was losing the will to live don't think i will bother with this course again

On arrival at the course we were informed that the greens were being “Hollow Tined” but there would be temporary greens in operation where the grounds men were working.
This was not the case in the temporary greens..
We were unable to complete 3 holes and had to skip 1 (par 3) due to the work on the greens. Further to this a lot of earth was left on the greens after raking making some greens impossible to putt.
Signage on the course was inadequate leading to confusion at times as to which hole was next.
This was disappointing as when I last played, albeit quite some years ago it was a very pleasant experience.
Just lovely
The course looked lovely. The catering was adequate & staff friendly. The other players using the course were friendly & courteous to those of us for whom it was the first time.
A varied parkland course with magnificent views.
Older players might find some of the hills in the mid part of the round hard work.
Braehead
Great condition considering amount of rain recently with gorgeous views of the Ochil hills a must play .
Braehead Alloa
The golf course was in very good condition with the scenery as a fantastic backdrop.Tees were a bit tardy, fairways were excellent and the greens in good condition although local knowledge of borrows on greens a big advantage. My advice play to putt from below the hole would give you a chance as borrows could be severe. An excellent test using most clubs in the bag on a wonderful ,tricky course. Thorougjly enjoyed the beautiful scenery with Ben Lomond in the distance.Glad we have played here.
