Best course in the area
I’ve played this maybe 6 times. Always good. Well maintained. Like the combo tee box selection. This can easily be walked. I’m 72 and a breeze. Staff very friendly.
Friendly staff, and challenging course
This course provides a tough challenge to golfers of any skill. They also provide 4 different teeing grounds. This course is very narrow, bendy, and difficult. The greens rolled somewhat true, and we’re not terribly difficult. I would definitely recommend this to anyone coming up north for vacation!
St Germain golf
Hadn't played this course in a few years. Fondly remember it and was looking forward to playing.
Not disappointed - great day, great course conditions, played in <4 hours.
Great public course in the northwoods
It was my first time playing there, we were paired with with two guys, one happened to play in a golf league there, which was helpful as he could offer guidance on where to hit the ball and club selection. It was a busy morning and the pace of play was great, it didn’t feel slow nor did we feel rushed. The course was in good shape, greens were challenging and consistent with the speed they played. Would definitely recommend playing there. You could make a case for bringing a leaf blower to play there in the fall as there are quite a few trees. 😉
Tough!
Perhaps the tightest course I have ever played!
Greens tough but fair. Great layout but not for beginners. five hour round sucks!
Fabulous Course
We’re hesitant to rave about St Germain because we don’t want it to get more crowded. It’s a wonderful course, great staff, couldn’t ask for more.
Nice vacation roung
Was able to make online reservation the day before. I was a single. Joined with 2 nice local residents. Tricky course so it was nice to have their knowledge. Fairways and greens in good condition. Also took advantage of driving range.
Played in 4 hours. Very good course for being in the Northwoods. Wanted to keep my swing in a groove while on vacation. Didn't bring my driver. You have to be straight.
Course does not disappoint
Great layout and excellent greens.
I had a good time
This is a very good golf course. I hope to get a chance to play it again
Fun course
This is my third time playing here. I vacation with family in the area every year and last year we decided to take the clubs and play at a few nearby courses. We tried it twice last year and then the one time this year as it is all we had time for. All three times the course was in great condition and fun to play at.
Great course horrible service
I’ve played here many times for one reason. I love the course layout. But the staff and people who work here have their noses in the air kind of attitude and are very rude. Went in the clubhouse for a rain check and got accused of lying. With thunder in the background and a downpour. Really?…
Best course around!
This is a very fine course, well maintained and fun. Although not necessarily a course that would be on a “must play” or golf bucket list, this is a very good course that can be enjoyed by the average to low handicap golfer.
The greens are cut for public play, so a bit slow. But they are very true, and with a few exceptions, in very good condition.
Among the best golf courses that may be found in more rural areas.
