Fountain Hills Golf Club

Course was backed up on a weekday. Other golfers said that weekends are very slow play.

Fairly nice layout that has some challenging holes.

Pace of play was very poor. Sand is in terrible condition, fairways are long and rough is even longer. Lost 2 balls on fairway somehow. So fun holes if conditions were much better.

Haven't played here in years completely blown away by the condition of this course.i had a blast playing here it's not to often you find actual sand in bunkers on municipal courses 3 sand saves in first 3 holes made my day.

1st time playing Fnt Hills n I'll be back many more times til.I birdie every hole.BJ n John showed great patience showing me the layout n kept eyes on my ball as playing partners. The starter let us play ahead as the group wasn't ready, she was oh so kind.

Excellent golf course. 1st time I saw a beer cart girl driving around. She was on point too. A+.

the course was in great shape staff courteous challenging nine you get a little groom feel if your off the fairway uphill downhill lies great course for the money I would definitely reccommend

Fountain hills is reasonably priced, somewhat challenging and usually well maintained. My only complaint is that you can get some slow play. The day I played me and a friend had no one in front of us so it played like a country club. Several of the holes are a bit narrow with virtually nowhere to miss the fairway . Holes 2 and 3 make it easy to go OB left. Number 7 is a 145 yd par 3 but anything left of the center of the fairway will run towards the pond on the left (OB right here is out on the street) . Hole nine is a tough par 4 and longer hitters can reach the pond at the end of the fairway from the tee. The course is generally pleasing to the eye and worth giving a try. It's a walkable course as well although I almost always take a cart.

First time playing and its love at first, swing/ site. Great layout, not closed in alot of room, greens in good condition. Nice course to look /view friendly on the eyes,lol. I'll be back, as a matter of fact this will be my new go to 9 hole course!

I played this course for the first time last year and was pleasantly surprised at the course along with the challenge. I don't think you can come close to how well this course is kept up for the cost of a round. I would definitely go back and the staff was very friendly.

Challenging. Nice greens. Well maintained. Geese are chased away by dogs weekly.

I was there 20 minutes early as a single but they gave me a key for a cart on I drove to the putting green to practice. When my tee time came they wanted to put a twosome ahead of me. Then they wanted to put a foursome ahead of me. Then they asked me to give up my cart which I questioned but complied. They said they were short carts but I counted 5 carts empty. A threesome was late for their teetime but the pulled up in two carts and the starter told them I was going to use the cart with one person in it. This was a family with the husband and son in one cart and the wife alone in a cart that I shared. She was not at all happy with this and I don't believe the other two were either. Very embarrassing for me...I won't be back. The women i was a beginner and it was terrible 9 holes.

Course is in pretty good shape mans it has some challenging fairways with tree cover. Also has a few ponds that can be fun to avoid.

My wife and I teed off just before noon, our round was completed a bit before 2. The golf course is in great shape and we played fairly well, too. Our experience was great, we will be back.

course was wet in spots and most of the traps had water due to the morning and previous days rain, but on the whole it played fairly well. We just moved our balls out of wet spots and traps. Have played this course several times. Usually play it when I can only shoot 9. Got a great price from golf now.

Well laid out course. Challenging. You cannot rush your shots. Any miss shot can be a problem
